    Looking back, it's amazing Adam Sandler was paid to star in Billy Madison. A truly terrible film.

     

    Happy Gilmore > any other early Sandler film, IMO. I'll die on this hill.

      @BlitzFirst I think your last paragraph summed it up well. It's pretty sad what happened to Sandler's reputation after the early run. He went from a guy banking on very high-energy silliness to someone who just churned out a bunch of very dumb junk. I haven't bothered to watch nay of his new stuff on Netflix. 

       

      Somehow I completely omitted The Wedding Singer and The Waterboy from my memory banks. I quite enjoy TWS. Should probably toss Little Nicky into that era as well. 

       

      I'll watch Billy Madison, but I don't find it nearly as enjoyable as a couple of those other early movies.
