@krc1995 IIRC the NCAA is extending a blanket extra year of eligibility for spring sports. I think it's kind of on individual schools and their student-athletes to decide whether they will take advantage of it.

I'm not sure about Vedral though since it's not a spring sport, he's a grad assistant and he's still got two years of eligibility.

Best for all parties. He's got a ton of heart but he's a terrible fit for the offense. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall given McCaffrey's performance last year.

He'll always be a Husker, though. Hopefully he can start somewhere else.

I'm really going to have to take all your advice and pick up a French Press. I bought this machine for $50 when it was on sale because I read pour over machines hit all the specifications set by independent agencies to make a really good cup.

I will say I generally prefer mine black as well but if I had to pick a favorite cream flavor it's Irish Cream. Got a big jug of that in the fridge right now and it's delightful.

Baseball generally struggles early because they have to play a lot of West Coast teams including some powerhouses since the year always starts with a road trip due to weather constraints. One of the drawbacks of living in the Midwest.

Plus it's Bolt's first year. I'm still pretty happy with the hire because the direction of the program was pretty listless under Erstad. His teams seem to have some pretty good life to them so far, just a lot of close losses and a tough schedule.

I think baseball is in good hands. Basketball - yeesh. Hoiberg is still the best hire we could get. Let's hope this is a transition year thing and they're going to reload next season.

Top 10 team. Playing for a conference championship. Couldn't hang with probably the best team in the nation. Will still go to a top tier bowl game.

I have no idea how Nebraska fan talks down on that, like at all.

Potentially a playoff berth? Not really likely but that's more of an artifact of a stupid four-team format that's likely changing soon anyway.

When they move to an 8-team playoff, Wisconsin would be in contention year in and year out.

@B.B. Hemingway Absolutely. Just from their toughness to their execution to stylistically, they're everything old-school Husker fan wants in a team. The championships haven't been there, but everything else has and they're just so consistently good year in and year out.

@teachercd They just spent a half of football punching the top team in the nation in the mouth and largely kicking their butt. And we're left looking for silver linings at 5-7.
