  5. This is the end. My only friend, the end. Of our elaborate plans, the end. Of everything that stands, the end.

  6. Watching UCLA get smothered all day is kind of a drag. I hate it when teams that beat us look like crap.

Didn't know Arizona played this week on MNF.

  10. It appears that, apart from OSU, the B1G is still pretty wide open.

    1. Count 'Bility

      Count 'Bility

and what is it about OSU that has you thinking they're so far ahead?

    2. CheeseHusker

      Count 'Bility

Well, then so are we. We're 2-0 in conference too.

  11. Beltran. Won that game by himself.

?? He was 2-for-3 today, right?

      iamthenorm

Let's get rid of him after a world series championship. We should have the pitching advantage in the next 2.

    3. CheeseHusker

      CheeseHusker

Yeah, he was 2 for 3.... but the error put them behind in the first place.

  14. LOL at Rozier in Nissan commercial. Hadn't seen it before.

  15. Georgia was playing against the 10 calorie version of Tennessee, apparently.

Moving right towards Sioux City now, and still dropping funnels. Some multi-vortex and anti-cyclonic satellites reported. This thing means business.

  17. Matheny is a dead set moron for starting Lance Lynn today. Sometimes I think the Cardinals win in spite of him.

    1. NUance

      NUance

      Not enough spite today. Damn.

  18. I didn't see it, but I heard Iowa State got some classic Longhorn officiating tonight. Still happy in the Big 12, ISU?

The fumble was a bad call. I get that. But so was the flea-kicker, i.e. Miracle In Missouri. And we don't have a problem with that. It's all perspective. If you are on the wrong end of one of those calls... well you're gonna be ticked and maybe with good reason, but it won't change the ruling or no call or whatever.

      Chaddyboxer

I think Rhodes handled the presser well, yet he did make it a point that the REFS were f'ing horrible.

    4. Chaddyboxer

      Chaddyboxer

And don't take this as gospel, but I've been hearing rumblings that OU and Kansas really want to join the BIG10 and get the hell out of the sh**ty BIG12

  19. If this was Australia, they'd call a double dissolution and every single house and senate seat would be recalled immediately. Imagine the entire legislature standing for re-election at the same time and having only 3-4 weeks to campaign. Of course, they passed single-payer 40 years ago, so none of this would be relevant anyway.

8 turnovers in the game. 4 for each side. Both teams had a pick six. Weird.

Rodger didn't fumble, but his second INT was one of the worst of his career, and he threw way too many passes into traffic. He deserves some significant blame.

  22. I think the one thing Nebraska needs to do to be successful, more than anything else, is simply play more aggressively. Go balls out attack, on both sides of the ball. I saw that happening today a lot, with good results. Maybe that's the change in attitude the coaches are talking about?

In his presser, Pelini specifically mentioned aggressiveness and urgency on the defensive side of the ball.
