Recruiting is a big deal for sure. But let's face it, we need player development and we need an identity. Once Frost gets those two aspects going, the recruiting will put us over the top!

I think this is where a six-team playoff would come in. You would have two play-in games involving the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds taking on wild card teams, of which UCF could have been. At the same time, I keep thinking about what it means to be able to play a game and win your way into the offseason. That happens when you are UCF and you get to challenge one of the big teams like Auburn. They won. They get to celebrate. It would be extremely hard, not saying impossible, but extremely hard for a UCF type team to take down TWO of the top teams in the country in back-to-back weeks.

I can live with that. 

What does that mean for the QBs we have? Are we talking about getting rid of the lot of 'em?

Cook is such an awesome coach that he has probably made a lot of folks forget the name of the guy who preceded him at Nebraska. And Terry Pettit was no joke.

What sucks about this coach talk is that it doesn't mean anything to us in the short term as fans. Once we have our guy, Scott Frost, be it Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday or whenever, the long process or rebuilding the team will begin. That will happen outside of our view. We won't see the Huskers suit up for a real game for nine months and one could argue that we won't see the full effect of the Frost hire for 1,000 plus days. I am happy that we seem to have a direction but geez, this is going to take a while. Might as well settle in already.

There is nothing wrong with attending and supporting high school events including athletics. If you like football, go to a game. It's not weird at all, at least in my book.

This was my fear when the basketball season ended. I heard a lot of people talking about the great players that we would have coming up. And I thought, yes, if they come back. And if they are as good as we hope. The answer to the first one is no. The answer to the second one ... still waiting. But come this time next year, my fear is that guys we thought would be good, if any are left, will probably underachieve.

Isn't there another God's Not Dead movie? Maybe they could do a Pure Flix cross over movie and feature both GND and Do you believe cast members. A true epic.

For Nebraska to be embarrassed people would have to be paying attention to the Huskers. Sadly no one, or very few people, are paying attention.

Huskerzoo... I meant out of the new recruits. We have 14 right now and according to rivals we have 5 that are 4* guys. If we got 8-10 more with 2 being 4* or better (come on Foster), then we would have 7 of those 4* or better and 22-24 overall.

The way I am feeling is that we get between 8-10 new commits for a total of 22 to 24.,No more than 2 will be 4* or better.

We have been "back" multiple times since the end of the Solich era. "Restore the Order" during the Callahan era. Can't remember when it happened in Bo's time, but I am thinking at least once and maybe more. Nebraska will be "back" when we realize its been a few seasons of being ranked continually without having the "OMG, what the hell happened," blow out loss.
