  1. Probably the most successful would be to pay $500,000 to coaches who know what to do. Are ordinary fans supposed to tell the highly paid coaches what to do to not be last in the country? No one is telling the coaches what to do. That is unless jimk is actually Banker looking for advice. Honestly, I think this is a great thread. The OP is asking fans to discuss ideas about how the coaches might help the secondary, which will give us all something to look for on game day to compare and see what adjustments the coaches actually try (if any). Also, it points out that is scheme is not DOA, rather that specific adjustments can be made to shore up its weaknesses. FYI I am in fact not Coach Banker! Do you think I would admit to that with the current state of my ... err.... the Huskers defense.
  2. That's not fair at all! Gerry has been ill this week. He had a rough game. He's been pretty solid this year.
  3. We are way to soft at the line. That would help to disrupt things.
  4. For those of you more knowledgeable than I what can the coaches do to improve the passing D? I know an elite pass rusher would be huge and a return of the injured backers also. But what kind of schemes could be used to improve the current situation? I don't intend for this to call out certain players or coaches or generally turn into a sh!$show either! What improvements or schemes can help?
  5. I think I side with the shooter on this one. That'd be invasive and annoying as hell, having a drone buzzing over your place so people could look at you. He shot it with a .40 thats pretty impressive even if it was hovering!!!
  6. Are you sure his name isn't just Jim? Could be a simple misunderstanding. Now that you say it, she usually says "I am going to DO gym, be back in a couple hours" when she leaves. I just thought she was using bad English. See, it's time to let the healing begin. Invite Jim over for a nice bottle of white wine so the 3 of you can get more comfortable. Who knows, you may enjoy Jim time more than Gym time. How you doin?
  7. Clearly photo shopped or blurily or whatever....
  8. Is it still a sellout if the Runza vendors call in sick?
  9. Avery Moss could have used some tips from Favre as well.
  10. Let's say you spent a winter of evenings down in your workshop creating a robot. He turned out better than expected, and became your good friend. You sat around watching sports in the evenings, and drinking beer your robot buddy. (He drinks Olde Fortran.) But then you came home from work one day to find that your robot had trashed your house, raped the blender, and put your prized Koi fish in the microwave to watch them flop around and explode. Would you have the right to reprogram him? Or perhaps dismantle him and start from scratch? Even if you had that right, maybe you would ban him from your home (Garden of Eden) instead, knowing that he would lead a hard life and constantly get into trouble? Just food for thought. I'd get high with NUance!!
  11. What else do you need to do to it besides tap the tree and catch the syrup in a bucket? That's pretty much it. Just boil it down and filter through a cheesecloth a couple of times. There are a bunch of YouTube vids on the process. Here's a pretty good one: LINK Here's another: LINK The hardest thing might be to get a large boiling pot that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, get a propane burner that it fits on, and buy (or make) a few taps. I guess I have 8 months or so to obtain these. I might build a crude brick open-top kiln for boiling the pot, and use wood instead of using propane. It would take more fooling around, keeping it stoked and all, but it would be more fun too. I'm planning to do this with my 5 year-old son. This seems like something that would be fun for a kid to do. Yeah, that doesn't sound too difficult. Does the syrup taste different from a honey maple vs other kinds? Ha ha! I dunno. Ask me one year from now. What I should do right now is scope out the woods for a couple other maple trees that I could tap. There's a lady at my church with about 40 acres of woods behind her house. She lets me cut firewood there. I'm sure she would let me tap a couple maple trees too. Make sure you check the holes for squirrels before you start "tappin" away!!
  12. How is Hector's throwing motion? Can Achilles be a thumper back?
  13. These guy want to be here and are excited that's refreshing.
  14. I think they need to consult Huskerboard for proper throwing motions.
  15. No "self love" prevents that from happening.
  16. I hate it when the girls in yoga pants get mad at me for staring creepily.
  17. Don't know any details but that's sh**ty.
  18. This team has some really nice athletes and its going to be fun to see what more coaching experience can help them achieve.
  19. Its harder to tell with t.v. personalities. They have very little time to give much of an opinion. Having said that my go to is 10/11. I think Kevin Sjuts and the boys do a pretty good job covering all the states sports.
  20. Anyone have two tickets for the Northwestern game tomorrow?

  21. Are you tellin' me, Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?
