People can nitpick his coaching choices and be offended by his on field behavior all they want. The fact of the matter is the guy has a big heart when it comes to his players, friends and those in need.
Guessing here...the local media crews trashed him or disrespected him so he could not get past that...possibly a personality issue. When you read other things about him he is a nice guy. I had a friend who had their kids go to the same school as his and she said he seemed like a normal guy.
I think his Achilles heal is he is uber competitive. I think he is a genuine nice guy in everyday life, unless he is playing Monopoly, Jinga, Shoots and Latters,Candy Land...
