  1. Any TV guys, do you do some shopping around for deals or just hit up a Target or Wal Mart? Looking for something 60 inch or bigger (That is what she said) and a smart tv.

      Huskerzoo, for gaming and media, it's still a relevant issue--game and media modes turn off some of the picture processing to achieve a faster refresh rate, but turning some of the modes on (e.g. HDR for gaming) slows the refresh rate considerably or isn't even available (especially in pre-2016 models). The 2017 and late 2016 models for Samsung and Vizio address this, as do the OLED units from LG. But it's still an issue for early 2016 units and older.

      Interesting. I've pretty much ignored everything since I bought my TV in 2015.

      You can usually find a better TV online for the same price-point as those retail stores. Be careful with refresh rates; a lot factors influence this - edge lit, back lit affect motion blur. My 60hz plasma had less motion blur than any 240Hz LED/LCD. Refresh rate on OLED is way different than LED
