I agree, most students tend to work harder and quieter if they are listening to music. It has been a lot easier to control here in a class C-1 school than it was at the class A school I was at though. More respectful kids here for the most part.

We allow them, but if they become a distraction, kids must turn them in or get referred.
Day by Day
I'm in GA and it's pretty much the same here. If given permission then can use but only then.
