I tried one when I was about 11.  Some kid told my parents and I was grounded for a month. Forget that! I didn't like it anyway. The smoke smell made me cough and I didn't even inhale. My Mom smoked and while I liked the smell of tobacco when she first lit her Kent, after that it was windows down with my head hanging out to get fresh air.  Haven't liked the smell since.

My wife's cousin had some medical issued "good stuff" for a related injury, so I figured I see what all the fuss was about.  I still have no idea what all the fuss is about, it didn't affect me in the slightest.

I smoked when drinking, started when I was 17. Became a 2-pack a day smoker and continued in college and then in the Navy. Tried to quit smoking for several years and finally had my last cigarette when I was 27 and haven't smoked since. Even the faint smell of a cigarette makes me nauseous now.
