My "back in the day" probably isn't as far back as yours () but I remember the movies Behind Enemy Lines with Owen Wilson being on a ton in the early 2000's and True Lies with Arnold Schwarzenegger being on a lot.

Star Wars: A New Hope ran all the time when HBO first launched. I'm pretty sure I watched it everyday for several weeks when we first got cable TV.
