  1. This staff is learning on the job...and today was the chance to learn from a guy with a PhD in offense.
  2. Feels like there is not even a game today.

  3. I think this season is done when it comes to super meltdowns...
  4. Smallest crowd you have been part of for a college football game?  I think mine was Illinois (At Illinois) a few years back.

Been to a few JuCo games that had excellent seating available through the 4th quarter.

Other than a local college game, the UCLA game, because the only other college games I've been to were Nebraska home games.

If we ever play KSU again I will go for sure unless we are still Minnesota.

College, Texas State.  Games were a place to stop in for a quarter or half, then leave and go party.  About 4500-8000?  Who knows lol

  5. As we passed the flask of Jack...I also noticed that.
  6. Ha...this is so sad! Huskers "should" be a 21 point fav at home vs Purdue...this is how far they have fallen.
  7. Yeah, I totally get what you mean. I think we just look at it in different ways. No big deal either way...he is here now!
  8. I don't see it that way. Part of regret is sadness...he has mentioned many times that he loves his UCF players and now he is away from them, I would imagine that is sad for him... Every choice we make compromises our future...I don't think that he is "dwelling" on it. I would be more shocked if he didn't have regret/sadness...that is normal. Of course people tell you they don't have regret(s) when talking about the current thing they are doing...just like players/coaches tell you "We only think about the next game" no they don't, they think about the entire schedule all the time. We like to think so many people in these positions are robots...but they are just like us. Again, it isn't a bad thing it is just a thing. Sociopaths don't "regret"...the rest of us do. It is totally okay.
  9. Sure...why not? I mean people act like regret is some horrible evil thing...it isn't. It doesn't mean he doesn't want to be here and doesn't love it...
  10. I know I have to be patient...while making a stew in the crock pot but it still sucks.

Zoo, are those things amazing?  I have heard soooo many good things about the instapot.

@teachercd we like ours, got it as a gift for the wedding. A bit of a learn curve, but it cooks crockpot recipes so fast. It's with my wife right now so she plays with it a bit more than I do.

The Instapot is really good as an automated pressure cooker, but it's never going to produce really tender meat like a long, slow cooking time will. So for stew I'd stick with the crock pot (or a dutch oven if you have the time to do it on the stove).

  11. Kingpin is amazing (I think the role was offered to Jim Carrey first), Murray basically made up all his lines. Scrooged is so good. Groundhog Day rocks.
  12. Patience...by Guns and Roses...great tune.

  13. And a lot of it had to do with how CFB has changed as well. Look, for a long ass time your HC "retired" and became AD and shook hands, drank and played golf with boosters... Once schools started to realize that football could be a money maker they started to invest in it...so crap teams that were always crap started to get a little better and top teams had less room for error.
  14. You are not a douche...you probably didn't need to say anything either because of course now that dudes story is including you as the "douche" if that makes sense. Sports at all ages should be fun...sports at that young of an age should really be fun. As someone who has worked with parents for a long time I have found out a few things... 1. Parents/Grandparents always think they are right and they think they are even more right especially when they are wrong. 2. Parents will do anything to "protect" their kid (even when they don't need protecting at all), it is the "mama bear" parenting approach. Most of those games don't even have refs, right? There is a reason. And as someone who has coached at all levels and lots of different sports...the younger the team (if there are refs) the less likely the refs are to ruin the game...they are their to keep it simple. I have had refs talk to me before games and say "My goal tonight...to not pull out my flag once" and I am super happy with that.
  15. Oh man...while I agree...some of it still tastes awesome!
