  1. Cool post and great research! I would like to add a few things 1. Most HS QB's are pretty much the best athletes at the high school (or like in the top 10) so don't look so much at their rushing stats in high school, look at the schools/systems that they are being recruited for. 2. Running (Especially for QB's) is a mind set. Think back to a guy like Peyton Manning, when he was in high school he could have ran for 100 yards a game if he wanted, he was just better than everyone but it wasn't really "for him". The defense and the DC has to fear the QB run game. We hear the team "Keep them honest" well to keep them honest that QB has to prove it first. Just like WR's have to prove they can beat you deep before you stop pressing them...unless you are Coach Diaco in which case you think every WR is really Usain Bolt-Rice
  2. To win games and a lot of them right away. Same as my expectations for Riley and for Bo and for Solich.
  3. I guess just google "facts" and "Stats"... I am an Illini fan, so I actually like a team that is worse than Nebraska.
  4. Sure... Bigs need to protect the rim and play defense. Thank you for the compliment on the PG analysis, I appreciate it. That was not there worst game of the year, the losses were the worst games of the year. That is why the lost. And Baylor smoked them, 6 or 30...smoking is smoking. I get you love them and that is great. I am not a Jays fan or a Jay hater...but it is easy to see they are slipping.
  5. This kid just SCREAMS Baylor...Long, good athlete and can play any spot in the "3" part of that nasty 2-3 they run. I am going to put the order like this... 1. Baylor 2. VT 3. Illini 4. NU That is all just a guess
  6. Man, what is the opening weekend going to pull in? How many millions of dollars?
  7. I kind of like to think that everyone should just be decent to everyone else.
  8. Helton to Martinez: "Now, see here, watch this...Notice the QB takes 20 seconds in the huddle and gets to the line, watch him, keep watching, watch this three step drop and the perfect timing of the throw, that throw covered almost 30 yards...across the field for a 3 yard gain on that out-route. You can do that too, you can be that guy, pro scouts droll when they see that 30 yard throw completed for a 3 yard gain on that out-route" Martinez to Helton: "Why the heck is that play even in your playbook...also...what the hell is a huddle?"
  9. Egg Nog...do you dig it?  I love it.

  10. This is AWESOME! Sadly, you will probably get "in trouble" for it...but still bravo!
  11. Wow, this is a really good idea.
  12. Oh man, I didn't grow up in Nebraska but one of the schools I taught at the PE teacher did a dancing unit. I don't remember if he did square dancing but I remember the students hated having to dance.
  13. Yeah, wouldn't shock me if it was even before that.
  14. Well, they have faced two good teams and got smoked. They have no point guard and their bigs are horrible at doing what bigs need to do. Their two "good" wins are not all that good and they just struggled hard with a team that will probably finish with 6 conference wins in the Big Ten.
  15. I pretty much agree. The Big Ten is wide open for spots 3-14...crazy to say but it is true.
  16. Jays are on the downslide. They were very fortunate to get Mo Watson the last two years, guy turned out to be better than anyone could have ever expected. They beat UCLA...while the UCLA team was in prison. They were beat over the head by the Zags but that is nothing to be ashamed of, the Zags are insane at home. Nice win over NW but that is all it was, a nice win.
  17. Right, and I am saying it makes sense. They both won the lotto so why take high pressure, high stress gigs? If I won 10 million, like they did, I would sure work but I would also find something I really enjoyed doing. Not something filled with pressure and hounding.
  18. Oh, sorry! I thought both had found jobs since leaving NU.
  19. Some of you are crazy. They didn't take lesser jobs to stick it to NU...they did it because they could. If you won the lotto, would you go take the hardest most pressure filled gig you could? (Think about it, I will give you 1 minute) (60 seconds later) Exactly.
  20. Big Ten Basketball...even worse than I thought this year.  Funny thing is, even though it might be the worst P5 Conference they might end up with that National Champion.

  21. Is Watson a senior? If so, next year will be horrible. They have no one to even sniff replacing him.
  22. Like I said, this is such a big game for both teams but maybe more for the Jays...they are right on the cusp of being MVC again.
