Sure...Riley wanted this to be his swan song, thinking that he could come to NU and that it wouldn't take long to make some noise. His wife wanted him out of OSU (but not really the state, she loves it there and they are moving back which makes sense). Riley signed up to win and win big...but so far that has not been the case and Dee is getting a bit tired of it (from things I have heard, who knows how true they are but they come from a few guys that usually hear decent stuff). So, a crappy season this year will make it really easy to pull out the old "time to retire" card instead of coming back to a "Might lose my job" next season type of thing that Dee doesn't want any part of. Not sure.

They should not punish her at all. With that said, they should fire her because her shows are lame AF.

Nope...Riley did not sign up for "this" and neither did his wife. She hates it here. No progress this year will mean the "retirement" bug is going to bite.

Losing is losing and once you start trying to justify losing on a consistent basis you have realized you hired the wrong coach. Riley has this year and he knows it. The loss to Oregon all but writes the story for the season. Riley can't drop a game to NIU, Illini, Rutgers, Minny, Purdue, Northwestern or Iowa. If he does and the rest of the season plays out with NU lost to Wisky, OSU and PSU...he will "retire"

SE tried to show off how smart he was...it hasn't worked real well. He hired an average coach, it happens.

Bo did not hit his ceiling here and he didn't his his floor. Yes, Frost would call TO and probably about 5 other people if he was offered the Husker job to get a feel for things and to get some advice/thoughts. That is normal. We are talking about a HC gig at a big time school...not a part-time job after school. sh#t, you should see the amount of phone calls made back and forth for guys interested in HC jobs at the high school level.

People, especially coaches, tend not to change how they do things. I think we will be seeing what we have seen. It is hard to get out of your comfort zone when you have 15-20 seconds to make a call. At practice...it is easy.

Not really...he looks like TA with a stronger arm and no legs. So far the stats pretty much prove that as well.
