Unless other schools are offering guaranteed admittance to med school, I would think UNL would offer a pretty good shot at getting him into UNMC. But if there is a specialty that he wants to be involved in that UNMC doesn't offer then that might be one of the issues. I really don't have a clue. Maybe the west coast schools can get him in good with some the more competitive med schools? Best of luck if he wants to go elsewhere.

Gary Sharp on 1620 said that he feels that if Fant picked Nebraska on Friday morning, there would be some very surprised people down in Lincoln. Damon said if he picks a certain team, he will not be taking pictures with the family. I'm guessing he's heading west; likely Cal.

They said that someone is raising a question as to how his recruitment went down from last Thursday to this Thursday. Could be an issue, but they sounded like if that truly was the hold up, there wouldn't be a problem.

Was told by a linemen who got starts last year that if he was told he would be this strong and this fast at any point in his career at Nebraska, he would have laughed. Correct technique, accountability, enthusiasm, and buy in have been great this off season.

LIstening to Sharp and Benning this morning and Benning, who is a family friend, says that we are out more than likely. That's a bummer that the Nebraska Football Brand isn't at a place where the local top talent are clambering to get an offer. Fant is looking for a place that is going to get him into med school post football. I think DoNU does a good job getting that accomplished for student athletes with the academic support they offer. Hope DB is wrong, but looks like we are on the outside looking in.

So last night was a nice payoff for the build of this season. This season has felt a lot like season 2 where it was a lot of lead up to Episode 9 "Battle of Blackwater". I really hope this season's ep9 will hold up to the many other previous ones. And as a ASOIAF reader, I think it will. Nice shout out to Wun Wun.

Well let's look at what changed. He visited and showed interest in NU. That usually equates to a 1-1.5 star rating drop from the services.

So did good ole Vince continue to recruit him while he was enrolled in another school. I think Love got some bad advice. I don't see why you would give up another year of eligibility to go play at Kentucky.

I'm pretty sure it's the kid just enjoying the game. He's just excited to get some national attention. I really have a tough time seeing him anywhere but DoNU. If he goes to Meatchicken, so be it and best of luck to him.

NM, already discussed about the Sharp and Benning segment. I think him having a previous established relationship with guys who are in his class who are enrolling this spring help our cause.

If this kid did everything that was asked of him, I don't understand how he is refused re-admittance back to the school. If there was no chance to return, why even tell him there is a chance?

Yup. Following the Father Gabriel story line pretty closely. Trying to think back to when Bob was bitten. Either it was the water logged one or sometime in the escape. I'm not 100% sure.

Groin issue. If he isn't needed this weekend, don't use him. Those injuries need time to heal, they nag. I strained mine pretty good earlier this season and needed about 3 weeks rest before I was pain free. What he needs to do is as long as he is mobile, he needs to be out there with his group helping coach those guys up. He's a captain and a vocal leader. If you can't lead from the field find another way to get in and help. Hope we get him back soon though, because he is a talented guy.

You know that the hail mary pass is a thorn in his side. That connection from RK3 to Wester'stache changed the season for both teams. It's understandable that he would have a few barbs toward NU's fan base. Knapplc, if those end zone photos are from you, then you must have been right by me, and the "Lincoln's that way" guy. With it being a night game it might be fun to have a HB tailgate this year.

From what is being said around the interwebz is that he may have commited while here, but his high school doesn't allow you to commit while on your visit. You have to go over the +/-'s of the school before you commit and shut your recruitment down. His coach doesn't get back until Wednesday and will go over this before he actually commits/opens up his recruitment. Was I disappointed about the "decommitment"? Sure. I just know that all of this bashing decommiting seems a bit much. Remember Bo & Co are pretty good at getting guys to take a second look at us even if they are commited somewhere else. Heck, wasn't Gregory a Purdue commit? Seems like a good character guy to me.
