  1. Tis the season!  Nebraska Soccer started their season tonight @ Kansas.  Speaking of which, for you hardcore Hockey fans,  just an FYI.  'The Great One' Wayne Gretzky's niece, Mila Gretzky (her dad Brent Gretzky briefly played in the NHL) is a Freshman on the Nebraska Soccer team.

Lots of that list are a bit off in my opinion. Maybe Huskerboard needs to put a hot list together.

      Miley is definitely not #1

  6. Free admission tomorrow @ Bowlin Stadium for #16 NU vs #9 Michigan. NU has a nation leading 22 home game winning streak. Lots of pre-game tailgating activities planned. Jack Hoffman throwing the honorary first pitch + members from numerous Husker sports (football, softball, bowling, soccer, basketball, rifle) will be signing autographs. You should post this as a thread too Nexus, so it doesn't disappear. If I lived in Omaha, I would definitely go. Seems like its going to be a lot of fun, and nice weather!

  12. Since the formation of the BCS in 1998, the Big East is 25-23 overall vs SEC. 7-2 in bowl games and 3-2 in BCS bowl games.

  15. Lots of single season NFL records on the line these next two weeks. Aside from Calvin Johnson breaking Jerry Rice's record last night, Adrian Peterson is 294 yds. shy of breaking Eric Dickerson's record while J.J. Watt and Aldon Smith are 4 sacks away from breaking Michael Strahan's record.

Rice had 122 receptions when he set the record in 1995, Johnson was able to break it with just 117.

Megatron is freakin' incredible, but there's no way you can put him above Jerry Rice yet.

Jason Witten broke the single season record for most receptions by a tight end today.

  16. Nirvana reunion with Paul McCartney standing in for Kurt Cobain @ the Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert tonight in NYC. I'm intrigued by this news. I love Nirvana and The Beatles.

Just saw McCartney a couple wks ago in St. Louis. I didn't expect much since he's 73 years old. But he is simply awesome. Still a GREAT musician. Have fun!

      OH HSKR FAN

I'm DVR'ng right now for this weekend. A couple of the acts are not my cup of tea.

  17. Mack Brown is 2-7 vs. KSU. 0-2 vs Ron Prince-led KSU and 2-5 vs. Bill Snyder-led KSU. The last time Mack beat KSU was in consecutive years of 2002-2003. KSU owns Texas the same way Texas owns Nebraska. It baffles the mind, doesn't it?

  18. As UGLY as that loss was, salute to the Badgers for that dominating display. They simply outcoached and outplayed us from start to finish. Best of luck in the Rose Bowl.

Wisconsin came to play football tonight. Nebraska just came to play around.

  19. Shannon Barbara, a spokeswoman for ticket re-seller Stubhub, said Friday that 21 percent of its sales were going to Nebraska, more than any other state. Wisconsin was next with 17 percent. She said Nebraskans were paying on average about $100 per ticket. -- http://www.omaha.com/article/20121123/NEWS/711249934

Glad Joseph isn't a one and done type like CCR last year. TOo bad about that. Oh well, Joseph is a better fit and should be great for the program for years to come.

      Glad to have him here.

  22. Tough year for schools that wear Black & Gold/Yellow. Of the 9 FBS schools with those colors, only 2 have qualified for a bowl game: Vanderbilt & Central Florida. Another two have to win next weekend to qualify: Mizzou and Wake Forest. Five did not qualify: Colorado, Iowa, Army, Southern Miss, Western Michigan.

  23. It's surprising that Michigan has not scored an offensive TD since Oct. 13th.

They play offense not to lose. Just considering that I'm very glad hoke is not our head coach.
