  1. At this point, I would take Thompson before him. If there's room at the end, then think about it.
  2. There's always a Matty-sized hole in any wall standing before him. Might not be the right wall, but he's going through it, regardless.
  3. Is "is it ok to punch a Nazi" really a question?

Thanks Lance, I needed that laugh.

  4. I'm still dismayed as to why Mick is still being looked at as a DT/NT, especially now. He's got the perfect frame for a 3-4 DE.
  5. Can probably go ahead and lock this thread.
  6. Bryan Thompson Who? Bryan Thompson. He's a football player being recruited by the University of Nebraska Bugeaters. Hope that helps! Damn, I forgot all about this. Thanks!
  7. Good morning, everyone. Are you ready for the Darkest Timeline to begin today?

Would be a lot brighter if the events of 8/24/1814 were repeated... Or maybe it actually is??

  8. 99% to USC. Thompson isn't a bad consolation prize, either.
  9. Tom Shatel wrote an article comparing Mo Watson and Creighton to Tommie Frazier and '94 Nebraska. I know losing your best player hurts, but can the Omaha media pump the brakes a bit?

I'll cheer for UNO, particularly in hockey. But not Creighton; not when they directly compete on the floor/diamond and in recruiting with Nebraska. Have I been particularly cagey with that?

It's all good, Cdog. I understand why people dislike Creighton. I have a friend who HATES Creighton. I'm just not that way with them. I wonder if a lot of the hatred towards Creighton basketball comes from jealousy though.

      That's certainly a distinct possibility.

  10. Tim Miles sure does love that hot seat, doesn't he?

I'd say his players arent helping by missing so many frickin FTs.

Unfortunately, this is the theme. This year, our 2 upsets just happen to be back to back.

That's the problem with our society...that game should not put a guy on the hotseat... He definitely put his team in position to win...

They shot 50% from FT line and a guy fell down on the court with 1.0 seconds left to give up the go-ahead lay-up. Not hard to figure out.

  11. Apparently it didn't work out between Joe Burrow and Ohio State.

If he were to transfer here, he could only play 1 year. At that time, POB would be a RS Jr and Gebbia either a true JR or RS Soph.

Ohio State backup QB Joe Burrow squashes rumors: "Lol guys I'm not transferring."

That is exactly what someone would say if they were going to transfer.

I think he fits in well under Kevin Wilson at OSU.

  12. That's almost the norm nowadays, though. QB attrition is higher now than it ever has been. Do you have stats to prove this or are you just talking out of your ass? http://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/impatience-leads-top-qbs-to-move-around-college-football-at-record-rate/ So 40% of the top 5 signees since 2010. I guess if you're a school getting a top 5 signee then maybe you might have more to worry about. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2016/12/1/13805596/chris-laviano-hayden-rettig-mike-dare-transfers-rutgers-qb http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/ranking-the-top-30-impact-qb-transfers-for-2016-213424757.html http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/alabama-quarterback-transfer-cooper-bateman-david-cornwell-blake-barnett-arizona-state-120716 http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/college-sports/collegesports/2016/09/22/qb-can-move-taken-new-meaning-college-football-especially-texas http://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/ex-arizona-starting-qb-picks-baylor-as-graduate-transfer-can-play-immediately/ http://virginiatech.247sports.com/Bolt/Hokies-add-Kansas-QB-Transfer-Ryan-Willis-50481641 Neat? I don't think it's just QB's who are transferring schools if they aren't happy with their playing time but that's on you as a coaching staff also to recruit guys who might not be prima donna 'flight risks' also. Do people think POB is one of those possible kids who if he doesn't get pt might transfer? I'm old school so for me my attitude is let him go then. Well, you asked for stats....

  16. One thing to consider: Diaco had an active hand in recruiting his classes, where Banker did not.
  17. bears, beets, battlestar galactica Identity theft is not a joke, Jim.
  18. Does your analysis of Lee take into consideration that he played with a broken finger on his throwing hand in his second season and also missed time due to a concussion? Yes. Tough crowd. Nice thing is, he's got a chance to change my mind.

  20. I knew DeVos would be a damned nightmare when she was first announced, but holy hell, it's 10x worse than I thought. Kiss public education goodbye if she manages to get confirmed.
  21. I'm not anywhere near the vicinity of the Tanner Lee hype machine. Kid was a below average QB at a below average program. Let's hope that 1. the competition is honest, and 2. the legit best man starts, regardless if that's Lee or POB. I do, however, have a sneaking suspicion that it won't matter in 2018.
