As far as captains go I would say the players should elect 2 to 3 guys one from each team (offense, defense, special teams, or someone who bust their ass). And the coaches should select a guy or two they feel has really worked hard that week whether he will see the field or not. I like how Bo is doing the blackshirts and I do think they need to be earned. But I think they could be handed out after fall camp and taken away if you fail to perform, with the ability to EARN it back. And if something like this year happens then the whole D loses the privilge of getting a blackshirt until things are righted.

He's got a right... Nothing was changed on D until it was too late. I honestly can't believe there aren't some guys on the bench that could play sound fundamental football with some heart. Some of these mistakes are rediculous and have been going on for weeks and that's unacceptable.

I tought the old girl was cute but annoying, this one looked just gross to me. There's a great big wasteland out there for solid message boards of Big Ten teams, but BuckeyePlanet has been my go-to board for most of this year. Just confrence pride I supose, but if anything the B1G has been on par with the Big 12 if not below it. Look at the last few BCS games, both confrences seem to crap the bed against the SEC. We will be fine, Shawn Watson is gone, our offence can move the ball well (I have watched them play, their D is ssssslllllooooowwwww). Also, you are not going to be seeing the experimentation we have been on D. Bo knows defence and I am not worried. Yeah...cause you know OSU is slower than crap. And Michigan plays with cinder blocks on its feet. And of course Penn State is usually full of crappy players and MSU last year wasn't fast. We're not any faster than 1/2 the B10 teams. Right because we're talking about OSU, Michigan, and Penn State... Go ahead and scream we're holding back on defense! Why would we show some of the more intricate stuff we have against fesno st wyoming or chatanooga? Not to mention some things may not even be installed yet. Look at last year or the year before. I remember people saying similar things and then look how we started shutting teams down towards the end of the year, granted each team had their falters but it's going to happen. I can almost guarantee you Gabbert or even Tanahill (spelling) hadn't seen som of the things that were thrown at them. The Pelinis have been pretty good at cooking up new ways to attack upper level offenses the past couple years. Just give it some time and they may surprise you. I'm sure they've seen some stuff from Wisconsin that they would love to take advantage of this week.

I would say he hasn't shown much. We really haven't seen much in the way of blitzing, just your standard safety, corner, or mike blitzes nothing exotic or disguised. And I haven't watch the line that closely, but I can't recall seeing too many stunts or different packages like guys standing up or crick at end etc. So I think it's safe to say the book has only been cracked so far. I think we usually spend the first 3 or 4 games seeing who gels the best and how we can work with them.
