Is there a problem with him I haven't noticed? I think he's had one or two passes completed on him and is rarely thrown to.

I've been a "sort of" fan of the Lions ever since Schlesinger played for them, but I've never really gotten into NFL football. Last year I wanted to watch every game Suh played in but it seemed like only 2 or 3 were televised on basic cable. This year I've already been able to watch 4 of 5, so I almost feel like a real fan now. It's nice to see some other Huskers playing for them too.

We've gotten called for 5 men in the backfield on at least 2 occasions. Perhaps that's why the formation hasn't been used that often. I'm assuming that on each occasion we had a WR who didn't line up on the line of scrimmage.

We won't stop them often and they won't stop us often. But I believe our defense will be improved.

Before the season started I thought it was crappy getting two weeks to prepare for Minnesota, but it basically gives Bo & Co three weeks to fix the defense. Plus it won't all have to be negative, considering what happened last night. So they have almost a fall camp's worth of time. I'm feeling positive that they can do something to turn it around. (Queue the people saying "don't overlook Minnesota." I'm a fan, I can overlook them if I want )

How so? I'm just pointing out that 1s vs. 1s isn't necessarily going to turn the team around. Well, unless you think Pelini sucks as a coach now, that's why it's apples and oranges.

Why are people so blind about this guy? He's 54.9% with 6 interceptions. Take out his best game and he's 50.3% with 6 interceptions. Take out Taylor's best game and he's 48.8% with 5 interceptions. Where in the hell is the huge difference here? Denard has better hair. I'll give him that. But where did people get the idea that he's a good passer? I agree. I asked the television several times why they weren't running the ball. When that last drive started they had around 3 minutes (maybe 2.5). They could have run it a few times. Instead they passed passed passed and not even play action. I still don't get it.

I think they just haven't called all that many plays for him. Maybe hoping people will forget. I'm pretty sure you were joking, but holy crap, how many times does @NUEquipment have to say white jerseys red pants before people shut it?

These are 2 big reasons why I'm feeling good about this game. This team is so up and down psychologically, which is frustrating, but the ups are great and they happen on the road and when people tell them they're going to lose.

Good point, but Arizona State last year was far far better than anyone Wisconsin has played this year. They had to be the best 6-6 team in the country. They were a hair's breath away from being 9-3, iirc. In one of their games they had a kick returner get tackled at the 1yd line with 0:00 at half-time and lost that game by 1 point.

I like Choi a lot, but a play no one points out is when he completely and utterly wiffed on a block in the same game as he drove the guy into the endzone, and Martinez got tackled for a short loss by his man. (Don't ask me what quarter it was, I just remember seeing #77 in the middle of nowhere watching his guy tackling our QB).

Maybe it's just me, but I would assume you guys would be throwing the kitchen sink at us on Saturday... He was being humorous
