  1. I feel dumber reading some of the outlandish comments on this board....get a f'ing grip people. You're heisman candidate who is playing out of his mind goes down....and you bitch that we won 35 to 14. Go root for another team then. Things aren't perfect....but when you call for coaches jobs after this game, you have a f'ing problem. And many probably haven't played a down of football in their lives...

It's not just one game. It's four years worth of games.

I guess throwing to the wolves means winning. I agree with chaddy

We are winning liveforNU. We are beating 9 of the 13 teams on our schedule every season this way. Depending on what you believe Nebraska football should or shouldn't be capable of, we are doing great or not so great. I think we are talking about more than just win loss record after a game like this.

  2. Here's the negative I'll say....Cooper may need to sit along with Pelini at Center.

I don't mind Cooper that much because he is solid in run support....but a blunder like that on the TD can't happen...

It happens to any D....even good ones...I'm being picky on that one

I actually thought this was Coopers best game all season so far. I've been happy with him this game. Pelini at center though. Don't get me started.

After having Bo as your coach nothing should scare you

      Blackshirt39

He should have held a team meeting saying we was under investigation for improper benefits and had to sit out indefinitely. That would scare the hell out of everyone.

^exactly....it's like he hung his hat on that stat for some odd reason....not mentioning Neb has more talent than they have in the past on both sides of the ball and ST has improved greatly, specifically in the returning dept.

    3. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

Yeah, the turnovers have to be light years better than the past and still predicting 4 losses.....that's going way out on a limb.

    4. mrandyk

      mrandyk

A 4 loss season isn't way out on a limb at all. Loss to either Iowa/Wisconsin/Minnesota, loss in the CCG, loss in the bowl game. See 2012.

Yep, I was very surprised at how well done it was. And the mimics were phenomenal, especially at an IMAX or on a high quality, large TV.

  5. NEB will have to be more focused on both sides of the ball this week against "not your same ole" Purdue team.

  6. LSU jumps FSU. ESPN states that LSU 41 to 7 loss to Auburn was a "fluke." Ole Miss drops to #8.

  9. NW held to 29 total yards in the 2nd half, 290 total. BlackShirt defense!! I believe this song is fitting: Alice In Chains - Them Bones:

2nd half was awesome on both sides of the ball. But I just cant help but be more dissappointed in the way we came out in the first half than I am happy about the second. I just dont understand how this team couldnt come out ready for a street fight against these guys, of all teams.

    3. Chaddyboxer

      Chaddyboxer

      Pelini coached team?....

Don't know...maybe we just surpassed their energy and motivation on the 2nd half. Loved how Neb kept putting the pressure on offense and D up until the end.

  22. Aaand thus team has the overall talent and player leadership to take themselves to Indy IMO. If it doesn't happen, we need to start taking a better look at this coaching staff. Way too much talent on this team to not win the West. Period. I am done venting now. Promise.

      JJ Husker

The issue is, every team has injuries. You can use them as an excuse if you want but teams still have to go out and play the game. It's delusional to think our injuries are that much worse than any other teams. Everybody has so it's time to simply deal with the reality of it instead of offering it as an excuse everytime the team shats the bed.

    3. HuskerShark

      HuskerShark

I agree with you for the most part, but it's silly not to take it as a legitimate reason.

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

It is a legitimate reason for them not playing as well relative to actually having the injured players available. But, since it is an unavoidable part of the game, people should acknowledge that it really is no excuse. It's just a reality that has to be dealt with.

  23. Would you have thought that Neb won the game when Conner Cook goes for 11/29 for 234 yards. 37% completion percentage. The D kept Neb in the game..Damn I am so Pissed about the offensive line. They got worked.

    1. True2tRA

      True2tRA

Yep, what else can be said. You could judge Tommy, Ameer, and Beck but what's the point? It all starts up front, and it wasn't pretty. You can't analyze the rest fairly when the offensive line fails like that.
