I'll be happy if we land him, but he's a reach. Hasn't played in 2 seasons, and folks on the Texas boards say he isn't the same player since he injured his knee. I know Sarkisian said much of his problem is mental, where he's still unsure of the knee and wasn't consistent enough.

I understand he's looking for proven commodities, but that said, all of Neyor's stats are from before his knee injury. Barely saw the field in 2 seasons at Texas (1 catch for 14 yards). Preston was at Bama for 2 seasons but seemed to get lost in the shuffle. That said if he was good enough for Saban he's good enough for me.

Preston is young & unproven!

That kinda proves my point. If they are willing to risk a spot on Neyor, they should be willing to risk one on Preston. 

 

No need now, though. Looks like we'll land both of the WR targets
