gamecocks
Do we really need another tight end in this class. With two already aboard and Amie another possiblity, do the coaches think that we are losing one or two of our current commits. Quote Link to comment
Alex 4.0
maybe making a statement to Ian Harris with his (soft) commit. You are either N or you are out. adding 20+ lbs and maintaining that speed could make him a real threat. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
we need 2 good tight ends next year....bring this kid on if he has the tools...TE is a big position in the WCO, we are sadly lacking there now.... Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I say bring him in and see what he can do....... Quote Link to comment

gamecocks
I am all for adding talent to our team, but is it in our best interest to add him to a deep position when our d-line and linebackers could use another couple of players. Quote Link to comment

The tight-end spot has a lot of players at it but very very few gamebreakers. Guys Like Jacob Amie and Coby Fleener fit that bill so yes I would add them, as apparently the coaches would. the spots you speak of, d-line and linbacker are being recruited aggressively. Paper in Illinois said he dropped his 40 time from 4.6 to 4.4 over the summer and tested at that speed at a college camp at Illinois State. He also added 20 pounds working out over the summer. Love that work ethic. Article said he used to be all about Basketball, but has turned into a football player. Quote Link to comment

Washusker
Looks like he might be favoring Stanford. I'm not as high on this kid as others - give me Amie, and remember that Mike McNeil redshirted this year. Quote Link to comment
Redman
Committed to Stanford (via Rivals). Quote Link to comment
chuckd
Congrat to Coby, Stanford is a great school and it sounds like academics are very important to him. Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
Somewhat surprised. I guess he was intrigued to go out west. Good luck to him. Positive side is hopefully we still have another spot for another offensive weapon now with Fleener out and Wallace Franklin out. Perhaps Amie and/or Anyiam? Quote Link to comment
