I think he stays. I just don't see him being a first-day pick this year, with all the good backs coming out. Plus, the running game will be emphasized next year, and with all he can do receiving, he would get tons of touches.

I think that Lucky will stay so that he can be a part of the 2008 Cornhuskers and finish his time at Nebraska in a good/awesome way. Not taking anything away from the Cornhuskers Running Backs, Lucky will be an asset to the team. He is going to be a great leader if he stays too and will probably be a Captain if he stays on for 1 more year.

situational player, not as fragile as a Reggie Bush, but along those lines, he sure ain't no Joseph Addai.

5-10 touches a game would be his max in the NFL. couldn't take the inside hits for long, game after game.

Your right he's no pounder, but I think he has the ability to contribute more than just on situational plays.

10-15 carries a game and a threat on every pass. It's worked for Brian Westbrook at 5' 10" and 200 lbs

I think the biggest challenge for him would be the blitz pick-up.

he seems to be getting better and better at picking up the blitz. i especially remember marlon pickin up a blitz at a very crucial time versus wake forest. when keller hit rice for the touchdown right before the half. that was a great pick up

He's not even close to being ready. He needs to learn how to play harder. Instead of getting looked at the wrong way and getting tackled. Besides there are too many running backs that are better than him in the draft this year.

The only thing that matters in the NFL is yards-after-contact (YAC) for running backs. As we have seen this year , he was consistently brought down after the first hit or shoe stringed many times. Also to be a RB in the pros you need to have "hole presence", which we know he has missed many openings this season. I suspect, as with Brandon Jackson, he will have to be retaught many things to compete at that level. So if he goes, it will be late first day or second day in the draft. Right now he may be a 3rd down back, #4 receiver, or a kickoff returner, but that is a long shot.

If he were to stay, this might be a bit of a stretch, he might have more exposure under a better system, to give himself more value in the Draft...

Bottom Line: He isn't ready to be an NFL back yet. It'd be in his best interest if he stayed. I think there will be enough people in his ear telling him that too.

It would be foolish to leave when he has a chance to increase his value by having a stellar year with a new coach.
