huskerfan500
Player: Sam Longo Hometown: Bellbrook (OH) Position: Offensive Tackle Height: 6'5" Weight: 270 lbs. 40 time: 4.7 sec Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Miami(OH), Florida St, Bowling Green, Cincinnati Schools of Interest: Nebraska, NC State, Miami(OH), Florida St, Northwestern, Purdue, Wake Forest, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Stanford, Ohio St, Notre Dame, Illinois Favorites: Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Big Red Report: #55 OT Assessing the talent: Per Scout -Longo is a devastating blocker. He uses his long arms and strength to toss the opposition aside like dish towels. Solid is pass pro, needs to shorten his base at times he has a tendency to play too wide. Has very good feet and moves well in space. Has outstanding knee bend and seems very athletic for a lineman. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 10% still early Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
He is fast for his size................let's get him here. Quote Link to comment

His father, Gene Longo, played for Ohio State in the 80s. Not sure if he overlapped with Bo at all, but they would both be Earl Bruce guys. Anyway, the links on Buckeye planet have him interested in Ohio State, of course, but also ND, Penn State, and other Big Ten schools. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
Apparently visited this weekend according to Scout Definitely liked what he saw. According to Rivals via Buckeye Planet, he will not camp at Ohio State this summer as he is busy visiting schools that are more interested. That to me implies that they, Ohio State, will not offer which of course helps our chances. Also now showing as #41 OT on Scout and 3* 5.7 #20 on Rivals. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Gave his nebraska visit a '9' or maybe even a '10'. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Bryan Munson said Long was impressed with Nebraska's academics. This stands out after Longo had a recent visit to Stanford. Quote Link to comment
Alex 4.0
This guy has been on a ton of unofficials over the last month... sounds like he is going to be making a decision before long. Stay tuned... Quote Link to comment

Danimal
Best O-lineman we are into, glad Ohio State is too full(23 commits) to make more offers. Hopefully we can close here. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
Best O-lineman we are into, glad Ohio State is too full(23 commits) to make more offers. Hopefully we can close here. A few updates from Buckeye Planet: Rivals reports, after 16 visits in 16 days, rates Ohio State, Cincinnati, Miami, and Nebraska best. Apparently Ohio State is waiting on decisions from a couple of other lineman before offering him. And a Scout story suggests he has narrowed it down to 2 schools (unnamed) and will make a decision this week. Quote Link to comment

They just offered Longo one of their last slots. Dang. O-line recruitment isn't too stellar so far. The big targets have dropped like flies. Hope Sirles and Ash don't get those Mich and OU offers then go the way of Longo. Quote Link to comment
