teaser on orangebloods about AG and UT talking again...

Wouldnt read to much into that, Texas hasnt talked to Aaron for awhile. And I firmly believe that Aaron isnt really even considering them as of right now. Just given the home school some love, much like Owa.

Aaron liked his visit to FSU. He liked the offense and the coaches. He didn't want to give it a rating out of 10. He also said the discussions with Applewhite from UT have been the same as its always been, little convos on the phone here and there.

Kid is N, no question.

Thanks for the update epoc!

He also said specifically. I like that they run the pro offense, and not a lot out of shotgun. Not a big deal because it seems like we mold our offense to what our players are best at, but I thought it was interesting none the less.

I should clarify, the communication with Texas has picked up from none to little. He has just had little casual conversations on the phone with Applewhite. Not worried.

Straight from Aarons mouth about a month or so ago when John Talman talked to him. That was before the update from epoc that Texas has been talking to Aaron little bit here and there.

Kind of what I thought - just checking to see if you'd heard something new that is actually relevant today, or were still referring to what was said 3 months ago (it was first week in July) during a quiet period in recruiting.

I guess I just put ZERO stock in the "I haven't heard from Texas in a while". Things change too quick to continually refer to something that happened so long ago as the basis for why Texas is no longer a player in his recruitment. Likewise using his "christian" beliefs for the basis that he doesn't care about girls at FSU is a little out of touch with reality. I guess if we are trying to get Aarons thread longer than Owa's we can continue to rant on how moral he is and that's why he's N - but I'm calling B.S. on most of the "facts" that support him being N.

I do think he probably will be - but that's just an opinion and nothing more - to this point I've seen little to nothing to support it - it just seems logical to me that he'd be a Husker, but then again I could just as easily provide a logical argument that Texas is a good place for him. Aaron has been about as tight lipped as any recruit I've followed in years. I'll give him a hefty amount of credit there.

Good post sir, +1. I try not to get caught up in this recruiting drama, but it sucks me in everytime.

I completely agree with what you said about his christian beliefs. His beliefs have nothing to do with Aaron checking out girls and having fun on his visits, none. The reason I bring up his strong chsitian background is the bound he has with Coach Ron Brown, and Coach browns strong beliefs. Kids who are leaving home to go to a major college for sports like to have a "father figure" like Brown who will help them along the way. Now I dont expect Aaron to sit in his dorm room and read the bible all night long, hes going to have fun.

He has said this from the beginning, it's nothing new. We do enough out of both sets that it isn't going to be a turn-off.

Personally I think that Aaron's skillset would be more benefitial to an offense out of the shotgun as a primary set. A Noel Devine type skat back that gets to the edge in a heartbeat, and can catch a quick swing pass or out in the slot. He is real good at riding his FB through a hole, so I can see how he'd like a pro set. However, I think he runs wild out of a gun set.
