AR Husker Fan
I'm sure everyone is wondering what happened to the three topics discussing MU v. NU. Don't worry, they're alive and well. We moved 'em to the Woodshed. Not only were they getting repetitive, they were starting to get a little heated, so this is your chance to cut loose. Plus, we've picked up a few fans from other teams that seem to want to talk smack rather than discuss the merits of the game itself. Nothing wrong with that and we appreciate fans of opposing teams - but it seems that each attempt by anyone to actually discuss each team's strong and weak points quickly dissolves into a pissing match. Entertaining, but prevents any real football talk. So, if you're missing the smack, head over to the Woodshed and continue. If you don't have a password, PM a mod for it. We don't actually check IDs, and you don't need your parents' permission... Meanwhile, it's pretty obvious that we're going to have more threads about the game. This is an attempt get things back on track by actually discussing the upcoming game - you know, tactics, strengths, weaknesses. That kind of thing. If this thread becomes similar to the others, or if subsequent threads go down that path, we'll move them as well and try again. So, here's your chance to actually discuss the factors that you think will result in one team or the other winning the game. Analyze and discuss. Quote Link to comment

BigRedPowerWagon
I got it somewhere on the internet. I find it better to project a loss. That way if we win, its a suprise. Like a present, but if we lose i can say i knew it. Quote Link to comment

huskerguy
This team had a ball dangled on a string and pulled away at the last minute... Bo will let them unleash their frustration on ULL, and then whether Mizzou is actually a good team or not they will want to make a statement that night and I don't see anything stopping them. catmanzou
Watch closely tonight on ESPN. Mizzou is going to scare the begeezez out of you. Gabbert will make a statement! Quote Link to comment

Well the thing stopping them if it is not corrected is the same thing that stopped them at VT. A terrible passing game that included pass blocking, QB play, poor catching, and bonehead penalties. If we play like that against most of our opponents after Saturday we will lose. In the big 12 we will have to score a lot of points against better defenses than in the Sunbelt. Our offense will have to be lightyears ahead of the effort at VT. I will feel much better if VT shuts down Miami this weekend as they did us. If UM moves the ball and scores on VT with some ease, that is not a good sign. Beating Missouri on the road will be a difficult task. Assuming both teams win this weekend convincingly the monkey is on the Husker's back to beat a ranked team away from home for the first time in many years. Until we buck off that monkey the first time, we are just talking smack. Quote Link to comment
