HANC
In my opinion, the ONLY way NU can win this game is to keep Tex under 21 points. There is absolutely no way possible that we score more than 24 points against the #1 defense in the Big 12 and one of the top in the county. Heck, we only had 217 total yards vs CU and 14 offensive points against a lame duck team. I am hoping for the defense to score and for them to give NU good field position to at least get a few Alex H. field goals. Somehow we need to shut down McCoy. I think we score 1 offensive td , 1 defensive td, and 3 fg......final score NU 23 - Tex 21 But, if Texas scores more than 3 tds, NU is headed to Holiday bowl. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
So then...how many points do we have to score ?? Quote Link to comment
papersun87
So then...how many points do we have to score ?? Well, if we're holding them under 21 . . . then . . . 21. Quote Link to comment
TITANIC VS LUSITANIA
Something tells me NU will come out very prepared for this game. I got that sense after watching Larry Asante talk about the Colt McCoy/Jordan Shipley matchup on Huskerextra.com. I think our D will bring it this game. I imagine that Texas fans picture a higher score than it will be. Quote Link to comment
Husker B
This game rests on the legs of Helu and Burkhead. If we come out committed to the run and don't make stupid penalties, we can grind out the game. If we start off with alot of the spread formation, it will be a long day. Quote Link to comment
HuskerMoon
I love these "magic number" threads. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
I feel like, if we can at least hold them to one point fewer than we have, we should be able to win. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
IMHO, we have to score more points than Texas if we want to win this game. Thoughts? ... Oh, and yeah Quote Link to comment

carlfense
I think you are probably correct. I don't see the offense scoring more than 24 on the very high end. Quote Link to comment
Hskr86
I also feel that we can't fall behind by 14 points or more, at any point in the game. It would be a mental hurdle to start 'pushing' with an offense that just can't... a deficit of 10 or under is still mentally 'manageable' w/ Henry. Quote Link to comment

So nice of you to support Missouri in their Holiday Bowl campaign. Will you be coming to Tempe as well to cheer on the Huskers? Quote Link to comment
