Popular Post Cy the Cyclone
A guy had his Yukon towed into the shop the other day. Fella was wearing a Texas Longhorn shirt, car had Texas plates...obviously a proud Texas fan and, thus, a moron. He'd blown his bottom radiator hose and it was leaking antifreeze everywhere. Got it off the flatbed, onto the lift and was just getting ready to start on it when the guy comes walking into the shop (either ignoring or unable to read the big sign above the shop door that says "Employees Only Beyond This Point" and comes up to me and says: "I'm a mighty Texan in a hurry to conduct important business of which you could not comprehend you simpleton wrench twister who lives in a house made of cornstalks so I order to you drop all the other jobs you have lined up before me and place me at the head of the line as I am a mighty Texan!" - - He didn't actually say it in those exact words but it was implied in his attitude... I told the guy that I would get to it as soon as I could but I would just as soon wait for the coolant to cool down rather than have my hands burned for his entertainment. I then escorted him to a chair in the waiting room where he could read five year old issues of Field & Stream...or at least look at the pictures. I got the hose off and called the local O'Riley's to have them run me out another one then went about my business. After working on some other stuff for a bit, I went back into the waiting area to talk to another guy and when I headed back into the shop the Mighty Texan stopped me. "Are you about finished with my car, untrained and uneducated peasant of whom I am highly superior of?" -- I looked at the guy and told him "Just about...should be done in a second." then went back into the shop. The O'Riley guy brought the new hose over about twenty minutes later so I went out to talk to him and get the hose. While we were talking the Mighty Texan stomped over and said "I've been sitting here for over an hour! I'm really in a big hurry! I thought you said you would be done in a second!" I looked that Mighty Texan with his Texas Longhorn shirt and his amusing Texas Longhorn lisence plate holder and Texas Longhorn window cling straight in the eye and said "Well...after consulting with the officals, I had to put more time on the clock." He didn't say another word the rest of the morning. 54 Quote Link to comment
