The Bo Pelini Honeymoon is now over

I think now Husker fan knows that the honeymoon, or grace period is over and time for Bo to start getting over some hurdles. Here they are

1. This head coach needs to be more than just a superb defensive guru. He needs to bring the offense into the fold. He needs to demand the same level of developmnet from offensive personnel that we have seen in defensive personnel (Williams, Suh, David etc.) He needs to not only get on the same page with the offensive coaches but to provide their vision, direction and feedback. The vision needs to be a good one and it needs to come from the top!

2. This head coach needs grow personally in terms of dealing with anger and those that make him angry. Such a fiery disposition is awesome in a competitor but can be costly in terms of consequences if displayed improperly. We don't want a Woody Hayes incident. We don't want the face of the organization to be such an angry and hateful one. Pretty soon we will start missing plays on TV because the program director won't turn the cameras away.

Can we just start another forum section for all the "Bo needs to be nicer" and "We Need an offense" threads.

Sure. And let's put the "Fire Watson" and "so-and-so" for OC threads in there while we are at it. Wait, that's like 80% of the threads on the board right now.

Exactly clear up the clutter a little. And by clutter I mean recycled threads with a different title. God it is gonna be a long offseason. Please Husker baseball team do something

And you know that he has not been working on those things?

When Muschamp left Texas for Florida he said that he knew defence and that he would hire the best OC he could find and then give him the reins. The next thing that happened was Florida hired Charlie Weis away from the Kansas City Chiefs. I am praying that Bo, Tom and the administration recognize that this is what the Huskers need to do. Find a good coach, who has a great offensive mind that fits with the type of smash mouth football the Huskers are known for and then get a strength and conditioning coach that literally builds DL and OL linemen and lets get back to chasing and winning National Championships.

Dobson is the man.

A new OC will be found. Sooner or later.

Agreed, Dobson is the man.

Hopefully we find an OC sooner than later. Before too long it will be Bo on the hot seat if the offense keeps tripping over it's own feet.
