Pasadena Husker
i suppose that's why he plays defense, but i don't think our receivers would catch that ball either Quote Link to comment
okaive
Wow, not even trying to intercept it. Quote Link to comment
dizzturbedNUfan
That aren't doing anything to us that we aren't doing to them so I see no point to this thread! Go Big Red! Quote Link to comment
walksalone
well, at least they didn't catch it, but dammit Quote Link to comment
Jeremy
I might be alone, but the days of 6 cupcakes and a showdown with Oklahoma or Colorado looks pretty good right now. We are just no better than 6 of the teams in the B1G Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I'm getting to sound like a broken record but Husker fans with memories of some sure drops by Niles Paul are just crapping on our receivers too much and forgetting what a drop is. When you are open for a catch and you let an on-target ball go right through your hands, that's a drop. There are some good examples of this. I think Burkhead last year vs Texas would have been a good example. When you are just barely able to make contact with the ball with both hands and don't bring it in, because you are making a big adjustment to reach the ball or because defenders are making contact, it's not a drop. For goodness sake, one time our receiver was full on laying out to try to reach the ball. He should get credit for nearly making an incredible play, but instead he gets his ass ridden for a "drop." Kind of reminds me of playing old versions of Madden, where every time a defender makes any kind of pass breakup, announcers would come on and talk about how the defender 'dropped the interception.' Because there are 20 of those every game >_> --- Basically, if actually getting the completion would have involved a "spectacular catch", I don't think you can call it a drop. Quote Link to comment
krc1995
I actually like how our offense is doing so far. We have everything in place to get first downs and score. The defense just needs to keep holding. agree- we're not hitting on all cylinders, but I think we will Quote Link to comment
bshirt
Offense or defense.....we just can't catch the ball. Quote Link to comment
okaive
Nope, your not alone. Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
fumble fingers again ? Quote Link to comment
HuskerCarter
Ciante, you got to make the play on that. That should have been an interception. Good effort though. Quote Link to comment
QMany
Easy boys. Great coverage. Quote Link to comment
snell352
I might add that this NU team is not only small but slow. Recruiting, recruiting, recruiting and more recruiting. This will define whether or not Pelini is a success at NU. These next few years will define if he has a job in year eight. In my opinion of course. Quote Link to comment
okaive
Anyone else tired of the dove commercial? Quote Link to comment
