3rd and long
Still TM in there. Anyone else notice how their lineman are still blocking downfield in the second level, they're on our LB and secondary. Our line can't even hold a block on their intiall man. Some coaching changes need to be made. Gonna be real good if TM gets hurt here in garbage time. C'mon Bo, pull your head out. If that happens those who want to see Carnes will see him Not necessarily, remember last year and TM on one leg. Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
I really do think it was mostly the offense. Our time of possession puts an unfair amount of burden on the defense. That... and Thorell/Cassidy. Quote Link to comment

Husker Richard
Pelini's press conference should be interesting, as should the coming week. Here let me sum it up for you. Bo: "We didn't execute. Michigan is a good football team. They're well-coached. They did some good things and they executed well." And to be clear, there is nothing wrong with that. Some people don't like coach speak, but that is exactly what a coach should do, say what needs to be said. With Bo, what we have to worry about is him flying off the handle at someone. Although probably not after a loss. This is a vanilla answer and doesn't address anything. The coaches need to accept some blame here. It should read more like: Bo: We didn't get our kids ready to play this weekend. It's on us. We need to figure out what we are doing wrong and get this addressed. I promise you Bo will take responsibility and say also that the staff was outcoached, as he has done every single time we lost this year. Shouldn't this raise a red flag then, that this is something that gets repeated. You'd think. But some people are ok with it as long as he owns up to his mistakes. I'm not. QUIT MAKING THEM. AFhusker
You guys can say all you want about the coaches... but this one is on the players. The players are in position, they just cant tackle. There is only so much you can teach to help tackling.... the rest is on the players. But when you have this many turnovers on special teams and offense there isnt much you can do. You can say that Bo didnt get them focused or whatever you guys want but i wont buy it simply because, and anyone who has ever played a sport will agree with me, 90% of being focused is on the players. And it's on the coaches to recruit and play players that can make plays. Our's do neither. Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
redout22 this is beyond upsetting. This is, as some dumb fat ex basketball player says "TURRIBLE'. Quote Link to comment

California Husker
TM is STILL in this F#CKING GAME?????? Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
Martinez plays DECENTLY when all else is going well. When we're in a hole, or need a fast score, etc., he reverts back to old form. Quote Link to comment
QMany
Hilarious that Carnes isn't getting some reps. Instead, Martinez pumps, pumps, pumps and gets tackled. Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
28 point game, and our offensive line cannot block - lets keep our starting QB and RB in just incase of a miracle comeback. Great thinking by Bo. Quote Link to comment

It's not that simple. You can't just fire a coach with several years' in a row of winning records. You'll never get another coach that way. Frank Solich come to mind? Quote Link to comment

We fired Coz because his D sucked, same with Cally, Wats, Bohl etc...... It was them last year and before. Now it is the kids fault. 4 yrs of the same crap tells me it is the staff. They're not prepared a few times a year. It's not the same as being terrible the entire year. THAT is the difference between Cos and Bo. Just saying that with Coz, folks blamed the poor D on him. The players got a pass. This year, the staff stinks at "it is the kids not tackling, dropping passes etc".... Quote Link to comment
