beanman
When we get a coaching staff worth a sh#t. Nothing has changed as a mobile QB will always dominate a Bo led defense. Let's stop pretending having troubles with mobile QBs is exclusive to "Bo led defenses". Braxton Miller plays like this against everyone. Did you watch Michigan State last week? He's already 1 yard over his tally from last week and we've only played one half of football. Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Well.... 27-10 last week, 27-6 last year.... at least we know we're capable. OK, that was at home, I know. Look, we've owned a sizeable portion of this game. We really should be ahead or tied. If the tables would ever $%^#*ing turn and we'd actually be the beneficiary of a couple of turnovers for once..... We've had plenty (at least four opportunities) in that half. I'm sure if we keep going at it, a couple will break our way... Quote Link to comment
hskerprid
Second Quarter Impressions:Notice to Tim Beck: When you have a QB who sometimes struggles with his accuracy you don't call passing plays deep in your own red zone. Thanks for giving Ohio State 14 free points. 1st Quarter the power running game was efficient and had the defense on their heels. 2nd Quarter...we abandoned the power running game for the zone-read. It's Official!!! Bo Pelini is a very good defensive coordinator. However, his defense still has no answer for a mobile QB. Thoughts Heading Into 2nd Half: The only way Nebraska is going to come back and win this game is if they pound the ball and keep Braxton Miller off the field. Defense MUST put a QB Spy on Braxton Miller. Whether we in or lose this game, a chance for a Big Ten title is still out there for the taking. Focus on the Wins/Loss column for the Legends Division. But don't you think that would be a hollow championship? We get beat by the team that isn't eligible. With Braxton putting on a show what is shoelace going to do to us? 1 Quote Link to comment

MSU gave up 17 points in the game.....we have given up 35 in a HALF......that is more than troubles, that is getting your ass handed to you. tOSU has nothing around Miller and we still can't stop him. That is Cozgrove like coaching. Maybe CozBo should be used every time we face a mobile QB since Bo's defenses look every bit as bad as his did against everybody. Blame 14 of those on the O. We expected Braxton to make some plays, I just expected to prepare for him as their offense and we are doing nothing special to stop him Quote Link to comment
kid nickels
Well, from what I've been told, we can't get top-notch recruits to come to NU due to all of our deficiencies, and also no established coach would ever want to coach here because we fire coaches after 9-win seasons, and besides, the execs refuse to open the checkbook to pay someone to come here. BIGREDIOWAN
Sorry guys, not trying to flame, but if Brax stays healthy, we win last year also. Agree with this.......... Quote Link to comment
kid nickels
I am content w/ 9 wins a year; I just wish there would at least be some signs of improvement or progress, and there's not. Quote Link to comment
NUance
I'll say it again: the problems containing mobile QBs existed long before Bo. Corby Jones? Seneca Wallace? Oh, we can go back much farther back than that. How about Thomas Lott? Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
OK, did you feel more hopeless at halftime last week or this week? Quote Link to comment
BOJ
I just don't understand how we keep letting these qbs absolutely destroy us. I mean he's their only real weapon on offense. Find a way to shut him down and make someone else beat you. Spy one guy, two guys whatever send pressure to start hitting him and rattle him. Makes no sense. Agreed. Braxton is questionable at best with his arm. And if we can't stop Braxton, then that Michigan game in three weeks is going to be ugly as well... Have you guys thought that perhaps that NU D has a spy and the OSU offense has already picked this up? Quote Link to comment
lo country
Sorry guys, not trying to flame, but if Brax stays healthy, we win last year also. Agree with this.......... Absolutely. Sad, but true. I hope Miller stays healthy in this game and we can actually somehow win. Quote Link to comment
kid nickels
I don't get it. Their first few drives, we blitzed Miller and did fine. They had zero offense. Then, we stopped for some reason. ??? Quote Link to comment

VectorVictor
Dominate, hell they own us. reality setting in, we are an also ran, a used to be, an asterisk in the record books. It ain't talent folks............ Saved for posterity. Feel free to post it agin when we start dominating. I will gladly eat those words. I am extremely disappointed. Well, he's convinced me. Guess I'll just go out, Cobain-style. Anyone know of a psycho, oppressive, and possibly murderous artistic wife that can pump me full of heroin and pull the shotgun trigger for me? I'd appreciate it if she could poorly mimic my handwriting too. Quote Link to comment
