Voted Gary Johnson Today

Recommended Posts

I'm tired of the broken two party system. I strongly despise socialism and the current regime. I also hate that the republican party is gravitating in that direction. So today I voted on Principal. I voted for the antithesis of socialism, the Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson. I will sleep well tonight whatever the result knowing I did my part and helped the momentum of the Libertarian movement, a movement that will truely change America for the better. That being said, I am a realist. I know Johnson won't win. I hope we have a change and I hope that change serves the best intrerest of America.

That makes two of us. The two-party system exists to ensure that self-serving career politicians can continue to be self-serving career politicians. The hell of it is, those self-serving career politicians are the ones who have control of our electoral process, and you can bet your ass they don't want change.

For what it's worth, I think either Gary Johnson or Ron Paul could make a great president, but the Republican Party doesn't see it that way, and I doubt the Democratic Party would either if they happened to run on that ticket.

I'll be voting for him too. It seems like he has a lot of extremely good ideas, and a lot of ideas that are fine in principle, but in reality not very practical. In Obama and Romney I see business as usual. With Johnson, for better or worse, I at least see something different.

That being said, of course he's not going to win. And Romney's going to win Nebraska one way or the other. So I guess it does boil down to being a "protest" vote, so to speak.

However, I find it kind of funny when people liken Obama to a socialist. On the global scale, I think he's probably fairly right wing.

Need a proportional government - not this bullsh#t winner take all system.

I voted Gary Johnson, but don't really see much change in the future until we can replace most of Congress.

Agree with tschu, corporations fund these things - and they won't support someone who actually makes them do sh#t and doesn't baby their lazy asses.

According to the poll on isidewith.com I agree with Johnson 84% of the time, Obama 72% of the time, and Romney 12% of the time. :thumbs

Thanks for the isidewith.com idea. Like trying those things. Took another one a while back and it placed me as solidly libertarian. This one has a little different result but it doesn't surprise me based on the questions.

I was 94% Romney, 80% Gary Johnson, 74% Virgil Goode (who I have never heard of), and 57% with Obama (that one surprised me).

94% Republican, 70% Libertarian, and 27% Democrat (I'll work on getting that number down)

Anyways, based on the disparity in our results, it's no wonder we tend to be on opposite sides of issues often. But, that's ok, it would be boring if everyone agreed :thumbs

I came up with 91% for Gary Johnson, 76% Jill Stein, and 69% Mitt Romney. Strangely enough, Ron Paul doesn't even blip the radar. Apparently he's no longer a possibility. I didn't think he ever officially dropped out of the race.

Definitely not surprised by the results. I side with Obama on the science and social issues, but pretty much everything else is Johnson.

I was surprised that I came out 83% Obama and 91% democrat. I think it's probably because I heavily weighted the social & environmental issues since that's about the only real difference I can find in the parties.

That said, I voted for Gary Johnson today. I'm so flipping disgusted with two party politics that I voted for someone I actually hope doesn't win because it's about the only way to voice my displeasure. I live in MO so it's like Obama had a chance in hell of winning anyways.

Interesting how the tertiary candidates are polling higher here. Mine came up with Jill Stein as like 87%, Obama behind her and Gary Johnson behind him. But most everyone responding here has one of the two secondary candidates as their main agreement candidate. Not buying that.
