Eric the Red
http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/miami-hurricanes-accused-of-lack-of-institutional-control-by-ncaa-021913 Miami charged with lack of control Shawn Eichorst, the Nebraska athletic director who held the same role at Miami for some of the NCAA probe, declined comment. Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt, who was the AD at Miami for some of the time when Shapiro was a booster, did not respond to a request for comment. Do we ever forsee any of this coming back on Eichhorst? Any problems for him and possible Nebraska? Quote Link to comment
GSG
He was only there for 18 months, so I would venture to believe that he had little involvement with any wrongdoings. I feel like he wanted to get out so he didn't have to deal with the clean-up afterwards. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
This crap is the reason Shawn is where he is. He walked into a sh**ty situation down there, it escalated, and he left an even shittier situation for us-probably without even thinking about it. Quote Link to comment
Mike Mcdee
I have a feeling his tenure in South Beach went a little like this. Quote Link to comment
kchusker_chris
All this went on well before his tenure there. The only way it comes back on Eich is if he manipulated the investigation or contributed to any kind of cover-up. Highly doubtful, but then again this is college football at Miami we are talking about. Quote Link to comment
Saunders
I swear I remember reading that Shawn wasn't even aware of it when he took the job. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
I swear I remember reading that Shawn wasn't even aware of it when he took the job. Maybe so. I know for sure I've seen that in regards to Golden (football coach). Quote Link to comment
mabrown310
I believe thats correct Saunders. I remember reading that Shawn wasn't told anything before he went down there and got thrown into the sh#tstorm. Probably the reason why he took the first opportunity to get out of there Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
How many times do we have to have this conversation? Quote Link to comment

At least Golden got an awesome contract through 2020 out of the deal. :-| Quote Link to comment
HuskerNationNick
How many times do we have to have this conversation? As many times as it gets brought up and shows/has interest? As its been stated before, Eichorst had no acknowledgement of it when he took the job. I don't think, anyone who learns under Alvarez and follows in TO's footsteps, is going to allow for a program to run in a very shady and dirty way. Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
How many times do we have to have this conversation? Probably everytime an article comes out with his name on it. Sorry Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I think it's a common misconception, but Eichorst wasn't AD at the time of Miami's lack of control problems. Very unlikely the Miami fallout ever will have anything to do with him. Quote Link to comment
