Goal-line
The debacle in Provo has claimed its first victim. Less than one day after Texas gave up 550 yards on the ground to BYU in a 40-21 loss, Longhorns defensive coordinator Manny Diaz is out of a job. Head coach Mack Brown announced Sunday in a statement that Diaz had been removed in just his third year on the job. "Our performance on defense last night was unacceptable, and we need to change that." Brown said. Additionally, Texas announced that Greg Robinson, the program's former defensive coordinator and current football analyst for the program, will replace Diaz. "This is a tough deal for everyone involved, but I love the University of Texas, and Coach Brown has been wonderful to me," Robinson said in a separate statement. Robinson's last job as a DC came at Michigan in 2009 and '10. The Wolverines ranked 110th in the country in total defense in the latter year. The news of Diaz's firing was first reported by Chip Brown of Orangebloods.com, with several outlets later confirming the initial report. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1766246-texas-football-mack-brown-reportedly-fires-manny-diaz Still not too late! Husker_x
I feel like half a Dostoevsky character. Such hateful glee at what is happening to the Whorns. I hope they miss bowl games for the next decade. Quote Link to comment

HuskerfaninOkieland
Uterus fans won't be happy until Mack Brown is drawn and quartered and his head impaled on a stake at the gates to the stadium Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
They hired Greg Robinson? He ruined the Broncos D. Then he ruined the Chiefs D to the point that Guenther couldnt even fix what he originally built. Then he ruined Michigan's D. Then he made an already bad Syracuse program even worse. Also, shouldnt it be an automatic red flag on the guy that he's actually available 2 weeks into the season? Quote Link to comment

dutch91701
I remember when the ut defense had like one good game on espn and Diaz was the flavor of the month. I think it was mushmouth (typical) and salsa boy who wouldn't get off his jock. Nothing against the guy besides the Texas thing...but then again, it's Texas...so f#*k those guys. huskerfan92
Baylor and Oklahoma State must just be laughing right now, they're going to hang 50+ on this team Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Baylor and Oklahoma State must just be laughing right now, they're going to hang 50+ on this team On a related note, how sad is the Big XII that T. Boones Farms Pickens U and Gov. Ann Richards' Tag Along U are your top teams in this conference? The Big XII media partners must be s*****g themselves right now trying to figure out how they'll market this dumpster fire of a conference. Perhaps if Texass hadn't have run off the better teams (save for Oklahoma)... Quote Link to comment
