This needs to be Pelini's last game as our coach

You can't fire the guy now. You CAN force him to make staff changes. The staff needs to make some kind of change here, otherwise, in another years' time, we'll be revisiting the same crap.

why not?

and if you are going to let him coach here, you should let him run his team the way he sees fit.

Looking at the 7 millie buyout plus all the assistants that would probably be replaced as well. That and the new salaries for a new HC and staff. It's more than 3 mill a year, just sayin.

Chump change for this program. Money is NEVER a barrier for the football program here.

Agreed, money isn't an issue for the athletic department. However I will have to refer to the post below and echo his opinion.

Bo is a smart man- he has about eight million reasons to defecate on the floor on his way out- Did anyone of you who want Bo gone care to even listen to the players who week after week told you what a good man Bo is? that they'd run through walls for him- Kenny Bell said he'd be willing to fight Satan (Perlman) for Bo- so the guy is emotional, so he says what's on his mind, and calls out idiots - he doesn't suffer fools, and I like that, I guess old Harv will get some mealy mouth coach and then with the mealy mouthed AD he can be completely in charge- bully for him,

You guys (BO haters), along with Perlman will never get it, winning is obviously important, but its about more than winning, When we look for the national or local media to form our opinions, or worse, we kneel to them because of some sort of shame that they fabricate, then we have no spines and we need to added to the compost pile. The real story is, why is Harvey still our chancellor.

So called "fans" that keep saying that we're Nebraska we expect more, seriously need to examine the need to be so invested in a short term solution to a problem that is base on spurious reasons.

agreed. when we have to worry about buyouts, we are in big trouble. and this is another terrible reason to keep a coach.

If Pelini gets fired for going 8-4 in a year where most of the key offensive players were injured, including our senior quarterback, we will not find a better coach to come here. Period. Firing a coach for that could bring on a dark era where even the Callahan years seemed good by comparison (the worst of which were still five win seasons). No one else decent would put up with all the BS that the Nebraska job offers from both myopic fans and self-serving local sports media.

I can't take it anymore! The interview and lack of class at the half. Yeah, it was a dumb question but for him to act like that is unreal. He obviously has no understanding of or intention to show any class. We deserve better! Then to follow it up with that display of sh#t on the sideline that cost his team 15 yards? I'm done with him! Un-effing-believeable the guy!

This needs to be your last game as a fan.

You said 'fan'.

Completely not true. Living in fear is accepting failure. Seen, and heard comments from national media guys that Nebraska would have no issues getting coaches to answer the phone. Its not just wins either, being a laughing stock in the national media is grounds enough to get a guy fired, and it could be argued 'fired with cause' Cut out the crap of "No one would want to come here" It has no truth

Bo made a complete fool of himself today, repeatedly.

I had been a solid supporter, and really believed he should have been given 1-3 more years.

He now has made himself, the team, the school, look like a joke in a crude manner that eclipses his past transgressions.

I have done a 180 and think the sooner the door hits him in the ass, the better. I wonder how many others he lost today. And it had nothing to do with Iowa winning. It had everything to do with our team wildly underperforming, even with the injuries. For me, it was all about Bo and his immature, embarrassing behaviour.

Just curious, what about what he did today was that much different than what he has done before? The last year or two he's been minding his Ps and Qs, but nothing he did today seemed (at least to me) that much more offensive than past incidents that he has had. He's always been contentious to media. He's always been less than receptive to the fans. He's always been prone to outbursts. What about today set you over the edge?

For one, he threw his cap at an official, good god. #2 mouthed off to the reporter at 1/2 time then again went all "Bo mode" in the post game. There's video here to show. Basiclly Bo did everything you could to get fired

Go away. Or try watching the football game.

Pelini beat two teams with a record better than 500 this year. No decent coach is afraid of that bar being too high.
