True2tRA
The talent is there, no doubt about it IMO. Some coaches have to do some learning and growing up? Are they willing to learn? Can they inspire this team to work towards their goals? Or do these kids think it will be handed to them? I don't know, but I'll sure as hell be watching again. So......what time is kickoff? lo country
Any chance Nate Gerry moves back to safety? Seems to have gotten lost in the improvement of the other LB's. With the new guys coming in and the RS's, unsure if he sees the field at LB. Could he play CB? Fast enough and big enough. Quote Link to comment
Ziebol
Clinkscales will start over Curry mark it down. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
That is pretty exciting to think about. I love how much experience these young kids have and their potential for the future. Now, add in some guys who are redshirting this year and JUCO players committed and it gets even more exciting. Based SOLELY on the two-deep roster from the Gator Bowl, this is a projection of players/positions we could have next year. This doesn't take into account incoming Freshmen/JUCO, nor does it take into account players on the roster (like Johnny Stanton) who may contend for a starting spot, nor does it account for guys changing positions on the O Line. This is just a straight-up move from backup to starter after the seniors move on. If the starter wasn't a senior I left them in their position. Years listed are what they WILL BE next season. I feel hope and expectations creeping up inside me already and the season only ended yesterday. I'm an idiot and I never learn. This, my friend, is why college football is the greatest sport around. Not trying to nitpick but isn't Knevel like 6-8? Are we sure he will be playing center? Just curious. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
this is cool, but knevel projects as a left tackle and hannon as a center I didn't worry too much about specific positions in areas like the line and WR. I knew one of them was projected at center but couldn't remember who. Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Is dj singleton really at corner? Thought he was a safety. If you are refering to my post....no he is a safety. I have him listed as Corey Cooper's backup....I just also think he would be a good option at the nickleback role, not a pure CB. It wouldn't be like Ciante where he switched to CB when we aren't in the nickel package. Quote Link to comment
Hoosker
Adam Taylor at running back after Abdullah goes pro this year. Over Imani? Not happening. He would've played THIS year if he was THAT good. I can see him playing more/as much as Newby, but Cross? No. Plus Ameer isn't going pro. He needs another year of proof that he can hold onto the ball to boost his draft stock. Quote Link to comment
HuskerNationNick
Janovich would be a JR right? Quote Link to comment

Cross isn't an every down back, and barely showed that he could be a short yardage this year as well. Its very possible that Taylor becomes our #2 back, especially with the praise that he gets from Brown. Quote Link to comment

I'm guessing it might have something to do with the talent ahead of him. Just a thought. Not saying it's impossible for Taylor to improve in the off-season and challenge for the backup spot, but, given the amount of reps Cross has had in his two seasons here, he is significantly ahead of a RB who hasn't played a down for Nebraska. Neither Newby nor Cross did enough, IMO, in their limited touches to be a clear favorite going into next year. I really never watched either one and said "wow" this year. <img class="UMSRatingIcon" id="ums_img_tooltip" /> Quote Link to comment
