Mavric
I am so happy he doesn't have the Declaration of independence written on his mask. Would hate for him to give Russians false hope. They would have to remove it. Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
Come on man....I'm not even a hockey fan and I know they are called sweaters....not jerseys. Quote Link to comment
GSG
I thought this was kinda funny Bill Burr @billburr 30m Every Winter Olympics u get to hear people who don't watch hockey describe the NHL like its still 1975. Bill Burr @billburr 13m "If they would just get the fighting out of the game, I would continue to not watch it." -OlympicHockeyFans Retweeted by Bill Burr Lucas Reczek @LRec34 4m @billburr *points at Swedish team* "see, why can't these kind of players play in the NHL instead of the goons?" Retweeted by Bill Burr Drunk John Gibbons @2cops1drunk 6m @billburr these Olympic hockey fans and media are the ones who want to change the game. The ones who watch 2 weeks of it every 4 years. Excel
Uni Watch: Hockey jersey grades ESPN is so dumb. Sweden a C? I think they have the best sweaters in the Olympics and much better than ours. Ours is like a Union Pacific ad with stars vomitted across the top. There's a marked bias against the Scandanavian teams. Racist. Quote Link to comment

EbylHusker
Not that long until the US women go up against Finland's women. 3 AM EST, I think? Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
Bolshoy Ice Dome - 12,000 Capacity - $180 million in construction Barclays Center is an indoor arena in Brooklyn NY. Costs: $1.2B (opened..... September 2012). I think Rangers/Nets venues. $180M is a bargain. BTW, your opening thread was EXCELLENT post (and hard working no doubt)............thanks Bucky! walksalone
The ladies look solid so far, 3-0 at the 2nd intermission... Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
Faster than Finland, far more aggressive, and better individual skill for the US. Raty can't do much more under the constant onslaught and relatively poor marking from Finland's defense. Gotta feel bad for her, as she's the only one that has kept this from being 6-0 or 7-0. EbylHusker
Good win by the US women, though definitely a few questionable bits here and there. Nice first game, though. Quote Link to comment
MLB 51
Canadian women's team will be tough to beat. They're very physical. Will be a great match-up. Quote Link to comment

On the stadium topic I do really like the exterior lighting on Bolshoy. It reminds me of Allianz Arena in Munich. It's home to two bundesliga teams and some German national club games so they change the lighting depending on the home team that night. They can also do some crazy things with it like imitating the Bavarian flag: Wish we had some stadiums like that in the States. Quote Link to comment
