walksalone
Wonder if the National Journal realizes Bush Jr was out of office 6 years ago? Build a f*cking bridge guys get over it. At this point the blaiming of Bush is getting tiring. But unfortunately, this is now. We're going to be dealing with the after-effects of Obamacare for years after Obama leaves office, and if it's a cockup, pinning a fairly large portion of the blame for that mess on Obama will be entirely fair. It doesn't matter if a president has been out of office 20 years. If we're still dealing with the mess of their presidency, it's fair to lay blame at their feet. This is what accurate history is all about. REAGANOMICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Link to comment
walksalone
You mean like an executive action? Thanks King Obama! Hopefully a certain branch of Congress decides to pull their collective heads out of their collective a$$es and do something for a change. I won't hold my breath though. There's Obama Blamin' to do instead! You mean both sides? Link to comment

carlfense
You mean both sides? If applicable, sure. You don't have to dig too far into the Congressional record to see who doesn't want immigration addressed. Link to comment
carlfense
"Listen, I, I'd like to act. We've got a humanitarian crisis on the border, and that has to be dealt with. But the president clearly isn't going to deal with it on his own, even though he has the authority to deal with it on his own." - John Boehner (emphasis added) That's interesting . . . isn't it? LukeinNE
This....uh...well.. Hoping to stem the recent surge of migrants at the Southwest border, the Obama administration is considering whether to allow hundreds of minors and young adults from Honduras into the United States without making the dangerous trek through Mexico, according to a draft of the proposal. If approved, the plan would direct the government to screen thousands of children and youths in Honduras to see if they can enter the United States as refugees or on emergency humanitarian grounds. Critics of the plan were quick to pounce, saying it appeared to redefine the legal definition of a refugee and would only increase the flow of migration to the United States. Administration officials said they believed the plan could be enacted through executive action, without congressional approval, as long as it did not increase the total number of refugees coming into the country. Ok, so we have a problem: tens of thousands of refugees at the border, and we're struggling find places for all of them. Obama's solution: unilaterally change the definition of a refugee without consulting Congress so we can fly more kids here on the taxpayers' dime. Just a note to liberals: when conservatives insist on border security upgrades before legalization for fear of getting double-crossed by the Democrats on the border security part.....this would be an example of why that is. 1 Link to comment

Congress should do something because Obama can't act unilaterally. Oh. Wait. Post #84 Just a note to liberals: when conservatives insist on border security upgrades before legalization for fear of getting double-crossed by the Democrats on the border security part.....this would be an example of why that is.I'm not sure that you actually understand what is happening on the border. Why/how do you think extra border security will help the current child migrant situation? You seem to be confusing run-of-the-mill illegal border crossings with the current situation. Link to comment

walksalone
So let me get this straight... Instead of these kids being shipped across the border, we'll have some humanitarian gov't f*ckbag panel determine which of these kids are impoverished enough to be just let right into this country?? What the f#*k is he thinking about. Pay no mind to kids here in this country living below the poverty line. Nevermind the fact that some of these kids in the inner cities probably have a better chance of going to jail than going to college. 1 Link to comment
