calicanes
I am a Miami fan and have been to about 15 stadiums over the last 10 years and Lincoln has always been at the top of my list - Any advice for game day? - How about the day before ? Quote Link to comment
Dr. Strangelove
Memorial Stadium is located in downtown Lincoln, there are loads of restaurants and bars in the area within walking distance. Being that it is a night game, I'd recommend mingling with Husker fans (and other Miami fans) in the area. I personally recommend Misty's as a restaurant/bar to visit, seems to be a popular choice. Enjoy your time in Lincoln! Quote Link to comment
C N Red
Roca has a great Berry patch!! Quote Link to comment
Landlord
We have a thread around here that documents all the must-sees and etc., but generally speaking, the Haymarket will be your best friend. Be prepared for an inordinate amount of niceness. If you're open and cheery you wont' have to buy a single beer the entire time you're here. Quote Link to comment
darkhorse85
Roca has a great Berry patch!! Not this year. A late frost did them in. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Here is a link to an info thread in Plan-it Husker. It has some info on bars, restaurants, etc. that may interest you. Look through the "General" part of the Plan-it Husker forum for more info. http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/18022-info-needed/ Welcome to huskerboard.com and we look forward to the game! NUinID
At about 4:00 on game day leave the bars and go wonder through the tailgate areas. People will be very nice, and if you aren't nasty to them you will most likely be invited to eat something and most certainly be offered a drink. Nebraska fans are passionate about their team, but they for the most part don't get into the name calling as group. You will run into some, but not that many that will be arsholes to you. Redux
Prepare for a friendly atmosphere and an old school fun night game. We are excited to have you all here and cant wait for kickoff. Quote Link to comment
carlfense
The bars are to the south and/or east of the stadium. The tailgating lots are all around the stadium but most are to the northwest. If you don't mind fighting the crowd the grilled wings at the Watering Hole on O st. are fantastic . . . but it's a damned shame that they changed that place from a dirty dive to an Applebee's-esque establishment. beanman
To fit in at the stadium, just yell "Down in front!" at random times. The blue hairs will love you. Quote Link to comment
funhusker
My advice edit: do we want them to come back? That pic is nothing to be proud of... If Runza chili tastes better than yours, you're doing it wrong! Quote Link to comment
Hoosker
My advice if you want want crappy cinnamon rolls and horrible chili.... Our school does better "chili & roll" and that is with butter and sugar restrictions... ...cool. Quote Link to comment
