Illinois, while a team that struggles, has some solid players. Huskers need to play hard and beat them.

We need to take every game seriously. I do hope we can limit AA's carries though. I know we want to get him the yards for the Heisman race, but after a 35 carry game, I would like to see him fresh for MSU. I HOPE we can get him the yards early.

Not saying I like it, just that I've come to expect it and don't freak out about it. It's like we use their first offensive series to see what they are going to do and adjust from there.

 

 

I think a lot of it is a product of how Pelini sets up his defense. They are almost over-prepared for what we're expecting to see. If they stay true to form, we do well. But it takes awhile to adjust to something different. Thus, when we don't know what they're going to do (FAU, McNeese) or they do something different than expected (Miami ran a lot more spread than we expected), they have success early. Fresno was what we expected (and wasn't very good) so we did well.
