...yet another dumbocrap in office again!

Kind of off-topic but I wish we could get rid of this and things like it in this forum. Rethuglicans, 0bama, etc.

Generally speaking things are kept pretty civil in here and name calling does nothing for the discussion.

Sorry dude but things are only civil on here if you are a demoncrap

I do find it interesting that when Republicans are called names in here (for which it's well known I have no love for right now) nothing is said. But, call Democrats something and posts like this show up.

I reserve the right to make fun of the Tea Party. I can't remember anyone using the term Rethuglicans until Whistlebritches said it . . .

More denial from Pelosi. Each time she opens her mouth, foolishness rolls out.

When I read that, the first thing that popped into my head was (eyeroll) "Pelosi - she can retire any time."

But that got me to thinking that nobody will miss her when she retires. There won't be any grand legacy left behind, nothing that makes us think, "We could really use another Nancy Pelosi in congress right now!"

And that got me to thinking - is there anyone in congress right now we'd think that about? Anyone in the past ten years that we think that about?

I'm coming up blank on that one. That's pretty sad.

It is sad.

This is why I don't get excited when someone gets elected, when one party or the other gets more power or when a bill gets passed. I won't get excited till I see the results of the politician or bill.

It seems like all I see is a bunch of people get elected, their side has huge orgasm the other side believes the world is going to end. The same thing happens with the bills that pass.

Meanwhile the public has to deal with what ever bill gets passed.

Sigh.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/11/06/362056737/boehner-says-rolling-back-obamacare-is-gop-priority

House Speaker John Boehner said approval of the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline and the repeal of key parts of Obamacare are among Republicans' top priorities now that theGOP has won control of both houses of Congress.

"Obamacare is hurting our economy, it's hurting middle-class workers, and it's hurting the ability to create more jobs," Boehner said, adding that Republicans want to replace it with "common-sense reforms."

Among those reforms, according to the Ohio Republican, would be eliminating the individual mandate that requires individuals to purchase health insurance or pay a penalty.

Facing reporters for his first post-election news conference, Boehner ticked off a list of items at or near the top of the GOP agenda. They also include reducing the nation's debt, overhauling the tax code and changing the legal and regulatory systems.

The speaker also warned that if Obama takes unilateral action on immigration, he risks losing a revolt by GOP lawmakers and the possibility of a comprehensive deal.

"I believe if the president acts on his own, he risks poisoning the well," Boehner said. "If you play with matches, you will get burnt."

Sounds like the Dems - or at least one of them - is now trying to push this in the Senate.

I think calling Ted Cruz or the Tea Party a demoncrap would be insulting to the demon that crapped them.
