True2tRA
Drain the swamp. That's what I would do, personally. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I'm not sure really, True. I just like his energy and his attitude. I do think he's a solid coach and get after it recruiter, and I do mostly like the work of our young DBs this year, but in these areas I will have to defer to more educated opinions. skersfan
A less than positive culture was developed by this staff. Any good coach coming in will not keep any of them. The baby is gone, throw out the water. Start fresh. I had heard Bo was tired and was ready. Let us hope so. He made many many many problems when he left the first time, causing all sorts of problem for the new incoming staff. He needs to go away completely. Fresh face, fresh ideas the kids can wrap their arms around, move on, forget the past. Set new horizons. Quote Link to comment
Haspula
Give Kaz a huge raise. He is the biggest asset on this staff right now 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I think Kaz has proved himself both at NU and Iowa. Hope he stays. My next choice would be Warren. Mainly for recruiting but our DBs did well this year. Brown would be third but not sure what he would think. Other than that, I'd be surprised if anyone was retained. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerCarter
All staff members are still under contract, including Beck, Paps and Cotton. It all depends on who the next coach is and who he wants to stay. Not up to us fans. Thank God. Quote Link to comment
papersun87
Beck and Paps got a good foundation going, I think we keep everyone and see what a new head man can do with the pieces in place. lol jk clean house. Kaz and Brown could stay, but I won't shed a tear if they don't. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Sipple was on Bo's staff all week. 1 Quote Link to comment
Hayseed
I hear Cotton is staying for the Bowl game. Quote Link to comment
URSS
Obviously depends on who the new coach is and his friends who are assistants. I would think that Ron Brown and the defensive backfield coach would be considered. They have done well with the running backs and defensive backs- complaints at least. The best recruiters will likely stay to keep as many commits as possible. The guy who got Gregory, Collins and Valentine should be a keeper. The recruiting and coaching for receivers has been good too- maybe that guy stays too. Quote Link to comment
URSS
I am wondering why Cotton was named interim head coach. He has been criticized as a line coach and the offensive line certainly has not been a strong point on our teams for several years now. Anybody know if Eichorst consulted with Osborne over this firing? Quote Link to comment
caveman99
Kaz would good to keep. Good coach and recruiter, would also secure several key pieces in the current recruiting class in Rueben and the DT brothers. Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
On coaching talent, Kaz is the only guy who should come back. But Kaz is making it impossible that it will happen. Quote Link to comment
