StPaulHusker
For the love of God. Perlman retires in 8 months. NO ONE IS GETTING FIRED 5 GAMES INTO A FOOTBALL SEASON. People need to stop with this because it isn't happening Quote Link to comment
C N Red
Can only Pearlman fire Eichorst, and who can fire Pearlman. Maybe we should let the sellout streak go and see what happens. Thankfully Pearlman is retiring next year. Although he should have been fired. But who knows, maybe he was given a "you're resigning" or else we will fire you. Quote Link to comment
C N Red
Riley will get 2-3 years no matter what. But with Pearlman retiring if he doesn't produce I would guess the new chancellor will start making changes. Quote Link to comment
junior4949
Pearlman and his job have been cussed and discussed here several times before. The argument in his favor has always been about what he's done for the university. Can anyone specifically name anything he's done that has ever benefitted the football program? Please don't say it was moving to the B1G because while that may have been great for the athletic department and the university in terms of money, it did not benefit the football program at all. BRV920
if that is so obvious....why didn't he fire bo when bo dared him to fire him after that Iowa game? Because he couldn't. Dr. Tom went to the Board of Regents and several of the large boosters and convinced them to back Pelini. Also when Osborne found out that Harvey was conducting a search for his replacement without his knowledge or input he gave Pelini a fat contract extension and raise to help buy him some time hoping he would win a conference title so that it would be nearly impossible for Harvey to get rid of him. For those of you that don't think Eichorst was brought it to fire Bo stop kidding yourself. That was his only job. Harvey wanted Bo gone after the Texas A&M game. Is it really that far fetched to think that Harvey was the person behind the leaked audio after the Ohio St game? The sooner we can get Harvey and Eichorst out of here the better it will be. RADAR
Great guy who knows what he is doing and will continue to lead the athletic program for years to come. 1 Quote Link to comment
BRV920
Spot On Radio!!!! Or whatever your handle is. You can hate Bo all you want but it still doesn't change that fact that he is a way better coach than Riley has been or ever will be. Did Bo need to move on? Probably!!! But firing him for this disaster with set the football program back for the foreseeable future. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
lol Eichorst suddenly becomes an evil villain with inherently corrupt moral fiber because his football coach hasn't won all of his games yet. Quote Link to comment

If serious, give this number a call: (402) 479-5388As of it wasn't obvious by him taking pleasure in the team losing, this post should cement the fact that he is an Iowa troll. Or Harvey. Or Pederhorst. 1 Quote Link to comment

Don't give these insane loonies any sense of legitimacy by jokingly supporting their notion that this somehow reflects accurately on who Eichorst is as a person or his capabilities as an AD. StPaulHusker
Why does everyone gloss over Tom Osborne as AD? It's not like he went out and did a thorough search of the best possible coach we could get. Quote Link to comment

I don't think he's an evil mastermind... but I don't believe for a second that he has any real loyalty to Nebraska, and I think he quite possibly f'd up this hire. Quote Link to comment
