Mavric
Saw this in teachercd's status update but hadn't heard anything about it. What's the scoop? Edited October 10, 2015 by Thanks_Tom RR This seems to be merely rumor at the moment. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
If teach saw it where I saw it, I'm not sure it's really a thing. Quote Link to comment
commando
maybe injuries have forced some creative thinking to help with LB depth? Quote Link to comment
Redux
I think Cross deserves to see the field more often and a hole at LB could really give him an opportunity to shine. Give him a shot, I like it. Quote Link to comment
84HuskerLaw
LOL The comments on this board are amazing! somebody throws out some wild statement and within a short period of time it has become gospel according to one of the many disciples and from there, it is used as clear and convincing proof of the existence of forces of nature as of yet unheard of by modern science! Until it is confirmed FACT by the parties involved, do not believe any of this crap. Before you post some kind of wild rumor or create one, suggest you simply call the person involved and ask them directly. Otherwise, please stop saying things you don't know are true! Redux
Okay, if it's not true, that sucks for Cross because he probably won't see the field on offense the rest of the year I'm guessing. Quote Link to comment

TGHusker
While Cross is not a speed demon, he would add physicality (always wanted to use that word that TV announcers always use) - he is a bruiser . He would be fast enough to play the position and God knows we need depth there. It sure worked great for Cody Glenn and the team. I think he switched his senior year and had an immediate impact - but also got burned a few times due to lack of experience. . With things unsettled at RB and he being out of the mix - looking for the FB to be the bruiser along wt a scat back - this may be the only way he gets real playing time. Quote Link to comment
NUinID
I think Cross should have moved to LB after his Soph year. See if he can rush the passer off the edge. Teach him to do that. It is time to get creative. We need to get athletes on the field. Other players that need to move positions Bush move him to DE and put about 25 lbs on him you are using his athletic ability. Bush could play a lot of spots LB, TE, WR. You could move some of those back up RB to LB. Grant Nabity could play LB or DE. Some of these guys need to decide they want to get on the field. Jeff Mackovica was a 4th string I-back he puts on about 20l lbs and becomes the starting FB on one of the greatest teams ever 1995. Quote Link to comment
74Hunter
Not sure if true, but I've seen this rumored elsewhere. Quote Link to comment
Red Five
No chance. It would take him until the end of the season just to learn the assignments. Unless he is just a guy you put in on 3rd and long and say get the QB, but I have no inclination that he would be "good" at that. Quote Link to comment
Red Five
I mean his move to LB could happen, but then he'd just be like Givens Price and we'd never see him again. Quote Link to comment

Red Five
Cody Glenn Glenn didn't move 1/2 through a season. The 6-0, 235-pound Glenn made the switch midway through spring ball in 2008 and excelled in the Huskers’ defensive scheme. Quote Link to comment
