If there were ever a point at which I'd be happy to see Nebraska finish 9-4, I wouldn't have been so happy to see Bo get fired after another 9-win season. GOAT Posted October 17, 2015 Share Posted October 17, 2015 I chose "after 2-3 years" -- if we haven't shown DRASTIC improvement next year I think his seat will be white-hot, but he'll still be given a 3rd year to see what POB can do. If we still aren't performing up to par after Year 3 he should be gone. As far as this season goes, he could go winless for the rest of this year and I have no doubt that he'll be given another season, so it really makes no difference -- this season is a wash regardless. While firing him after one season seems extreme, I remember something that Osborne said when announcing Callahan's firing. I guess he's setting the bar low this year. :-) As far as Bo is concerned, it wasn't the 9-4 records that bothered me, it was the embarrassing fashion in which many of our losses occurred. I can't believe some people actually said to wait 6-7 seasons. Damn, I wish my boss would wait 6-7 years before assessing my effectiveness... and I'm not making 1.7-mil per year either.
