Why does it feel we always make opposing QBs look great?

This is not a current coaching issue....This is a Nebraska issue since Osborne left. I feel like we always make opposing QBs look like heisman candidates, especially when they come to Lincoln.

There are so many over the past 15 years to name, but what stands out especially is the true freshman QBs who come into Lincoln and somehow look like mega stars.

Am I the only one who feels this way? I always think to myself, "Oh this QB is a freshman, or the starter got hurt and the backup is coming into Lincoln and Memorial Stadium, hes going to get rattled".....I find myself being wrong a lot of the times.

I'd agree with this. In the BYU game, I think I was more nervous after Mangum came in, and dangit the stinkin' freshmen did it. For some reason I think Hill would have tried too hard on the Hail Mary, and we'd have pulled it out.

They always have a knack to put the ball on the money against us...

This staff has only made two QBs who shouldn't have looked good look good. that is Mangum and the Northwestern QB.

Kaaya is understandable, and sh#t me, I have already forgotten who the other team we lost to, been too many. But I think that QB was decent as well.

No way in hell should Stave and Leisure put up the numbers they did. And what the Southern Miss kid did in the fourth is a complete joke.

We had a long running Bo's QB Graveyard thread because of the successful play of our past secondaries. This thread is fundamentally flawed.

Banker's scheme sucks. Flat out. It may work for Narduzzi, but Banker can't coach it and is too stubborn to do anything else. Also, Riley won't fire him, no matter how mad it gets.

Go look at Pitts D improvement under Narduzzi. In one year, its pretty remarkable and its in all categories.

Read about his quarters coverage. It looks nothing like what we play. He goes press about 90-95% of the time. To paraphrase a Pitt DB this year. "With no safety help, its the best man wins. The receiver has so many options so you get in his face and take away those options. Its physical. Its aggressive." This looks nothing like our D. 15 INTs to date. NU has had 5...... This is with team throwing like 40+ per game......

Thanks for sharing. That's great info that I didn't know.

So, everyone said that Banker's D was like Narduzzi's, but it isn't. All I know is that Banker's D pretty much stinks.
