if the recent weeks story is true, then that probably explains why his mechanics were so bad against wisconsin why he was really avoiding contact on some of his throws.

 

it also really points to a staff that should have known better than to rely on his arm and leg as much as they did the past few weeks. if you know a guy won't be 100%, why wouldn't you make other plans which you follow if you see that the guy isn't playing well?

I would be shocked if Tommy came back against Michigan St, or even for the rest of the regular season. Turf toe is one of those nasty injuries. Devin Hester for the Falcons got it this season and hasn't played in over a month. Hester explains his injury in this article, notice the part where he says it slowly got worse...
