zoogs
Either that, or he's just trying to intentionally rile up his base. I just can't believe he would try to do such a thing! /feigns a look of shock. FWIW, I still don't really know if there's a consensus on what the computer scientists are saying. I've read that some in the Democratic camp are frustrated that effort is even being spent here, when there's still a Senate race in Louisiana they need to be trying to win. It's not the worst thing, I suppose. If it were up to me, I'd rather they focus on LA, too. Another thought is that this appears to really be Jill Stein's push. Seeing her tweets going alongside it, I'm not entirely sure she isn't merely trying to publicly discredit the system either. Then again, I can see how some of the concerns about electronic voting systems and their verification processes are valid: (If the above tweet incorrectly represents the entire review process, please fill me in; that's entirely possible. But *if* the source code review consists entirely of a style check, yeah, that does seem incredibly lacking.) In any case, and all recounts aside, let's make sure our technology isn't running ahead of our ability to keep things secure. Link to comment
BigRedBuster
https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/802866941820071937 Is this really the issue or is this burst of tweets this morning ANOTHER attempt to distract from the NYT articles on his conflicts of interest with international business? Also, I wasn't aware of this little Amendment to the Constitution ... an interesting one for sure. I'm not sure I like Pence better, but he is at least a smarter bigot. https://twitter.com/KeithOlbermann/status/802548154734432256 Good Lord.... Why is he talking in third person? Link to comment

I thought that at first too because sometimes he does talk in third person, but he's finishing the quote from Clinton. Link to comment

NM11046
Wildly irresponsible. Unfit to lead. It woke me up in the middle of the night ... by saying this he is saying that the election (that he won) is not legitimate. The irony! Link to comment
BigRedBuster
This article does a great job of laying out how his ego just can't handle the situation he is in....through his own words (tweets). 1 Link to comment
NM11046
His followers are starting to figure it out... it would be funny to watch if it wasn't so horrifying to be a part of. 1 Link to comment
NM11046
This one just made me laugh. He is unable to end a tweet without a random comment with an exclamation point. Sad! Link to comment
zoogs
Is it normal for a POTUS to promote a company like this? I don't think it's unusual for one to talk about companies, although I'm not sure. It seems highly unusual for one to make quid pro quo deals individually. Again, forgive my ignorance here. That tweet isn't materially far from "Go buy Carrier A/C's"! Usually such tweets are sponsored and should be disclosed as such. Is this public stumping from future POTUS part of the deal? Tax breaks, policy favors, *and* personal brand promotion from The Donald himself? I mean, that's not a bad carrot. Link to comment
Moiraine
He soon followed up by tweeting, "Interesting how the U.S. sells Taiwan billions of dollars of military equipment but I should not accept a congratulatory call." You're the president elect now. You are the U.S. to other countries. Stop being a f*ing moron. 1 Link to comment
NM11046
(and supposedly he just happened to pick up the phone). Not sure how admin assistants work when you're president, but do global leaders around the world have access to your cell, that you carry in your pocket? Shoot, I won't even answer a number I don't recognize. Link to comment
NM11046
Anybody else find his word choice of "viciously fired" funny - you know, since he had a reality show that did just that weekly, and he had a catch phrase and everything. Link to comment
