huskerfan333157
I noticed that purdue is 124th against the run which means we should be able to beat them by running the ball 80% of the team. I feel like we need Tommy to be at least 90% when we play Wisconsin so could we be able to rest him and give fyfe the start against a not so good purdue team? Quote Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
We did that last year. Didnt work out so well at all. 9 Quote Link to comment
huskerfan333157
We did that last year. Didnt work out so well at all. Purdue is a lot worse against the run this year and our defense is better. We should be able to run all over this team. Quote Link to comment
Savage Husker
No way start fyfe but would be nice to throttle Purdue and pull starters midway through 3rd. It's past due for another blowout 2 Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
Do you want to take on Purdue again without TA? What let Fyfe throw 5 more INT? I think you play TA and script limited QB running like they did versus Indiana. Hopefully, others can get health and return to take pressure off of TA. 2 Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
If Tommy is indeed still nursing an injury I would say this is worth consideration 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerInLostWages
We need to get up big in the first half then rest him. If we cant do that then he plays. We cant get derailed against lowly Purdue again. We were derailed before them last season but they just put the icing on the cake. Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
If people really think putting Fyfe in will be a sole contributing factor to a bunch of turnovers and a complete meltdown, those people don't know football 1 Quote Link to comment

I think the Purdue loss was the product of a derailed season, not the cause. If anything, that loss refocused Nebraska to finish that season strong. 1 Quote Link to comment

Purdue is 124th against the run, fyfe should only need to throw it 10 or 15 times. Quote Link to comment

In the Deed the Glory
No you start him, even if only to influence the gameplan from Purdue. If you can just run the ball and throw simple timing passes where he doesn't have to roll or run it should be fine. Quote Link to comment

Nebfanatic
I think we should play our hand all week like he is available and will start of course but I think if Tommy could benefit health wise from not playing I think it is definitely something to consider Quote Link to comment
