That's when an unidentified person in a pickup truck threw a full soda container at him. Treiman said he was hit in the back as he turned to shield the child he was holding. Treiman said the man who threw the can yelled "liberal scumbag" before driving away from the scene. Treiman tells WNBF that he won't jeopardize the safety of his wife and children while running for office. There now are no Democrats seeking the mayoral position in Binghamton. You boys play too rough. Link to comment
Danny Bateman
The female Democrat who was going to challenge resident embarrassment Steve King in Iowa also dropped out due to death threats. Sadly, that used to be my district. I wrote a letter to King for Boy Scouts once. He actually went to my high school. Regardless of your political stripes, I'd hope we could agree that this stuff is not OK. Funny, though, that outside the anarchists and far-left rabble rousers, this activity is largely coming from one party in particularly. It's almost like they're emboldened, or something. 1 Link to comment
zoogs
https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/6/12/15769282/conservatives-threat-budget-trump-tax-reform The most conservative faction of House Republicans is posturing to derail President Trump’s tax plans — an issue on which he desperately needs a legislative win — if he and GOP leaders do not agree to sweeping cuts to food stamps and other safety net programs. Their demands would amount to even more pain for the poorest Americans than Trump has already proposed, in order to fund tax cuts that would primarily benefit the very rich. ...The Freedom Caucus is feeling the strength of its leverage over GOP moderates and the administration — it knows that without its members’ votes, the budget is doomed, and with it, for the next year at least, any hope of passing tax cuts through the Senate on a strictly party-line vote. Because poor people are entitlement queens feasting from the government trough. We'll stop this...right? Link to comment

The US takes a Saudi turn. Link to comment

NM11046
All I'm catching is that there is a cabinet meeting and it's live - CNN I think has/had some of it. I saw a clip of Reince saying it's an honor to work for Trump and make sure his goals get accomplished (paraphrasing). Link to comment
knapplc
This is just bizarre. What kind of person needs praise this much that they would waste time in a cabinet meeting allowing it to go on? 2 Link to comment

StPaulHusker
You have to wonder if any of these people will see clips from this period of their life in the future and feel a sense of shame. They are politicians. Shame left their dictionary a long time ago. 1 Link to comment

NM11046
There was also this ... he really doesn't understand this job does he? And that nothing's been obstructed, he hasn't given names or they haven't provided info to have the hearings. Look at the poor sacks beside him in their planned red tie wearing mourning jackets. I think they're saying goodbye to their dignity and historically well thought of morals. After so many years in the military they're going down with this guy. 1 Link to comment

zoogs
He's either colossally stupid or this is all a diversionary tactic and he never wanted the travel ban to go into effect. Made me think of this: https://theintercept.com/2017/06/10/the-worst-of-donald-trumps-toxic-agenda-is-lying-in-wait-a-major-u-s-crisis-will-unleash-it/ ...make no mistake, the full agenda is still there, lying in wait. And there is one thing that could unleash it all: a large-scale crisis. Since taking office (...) Donald Trump has never allowed the atmosphere of chaos and crisis to let up. Some of the chaos, like the Russia investigations, has been foisted upon him or is simply the result of incompetence, but much appears to be deliberately created. Either way, while we are distracted by (and addicted to) the Trump Show, clicking on and gasping at marital hand-slaps and mysterious orbs, the quiet, methodical work of redistributing wealth upward proceeds apace. Conventional W/L scoring doesn't apply when it comes to the Trump/GOP agenda. All of this is groundwork. The correct answer - apart from not electing him in the first place - is immediate impeachment. We lose ground and slip slowly but inexorably towards the abyss every day that this does not happen. 3 Link to comment
